About sRaidFrames

sRaidFrames was designed to replace the raid frames provided by CT_RaidAssist. They share the same look and feel of the original frames, but are highly optimised and even include extra features such as aggro highlighting and display of PVE critical abilities.

The main goal of sRaidFrames is to be just that, frames, nothing more; they do not deliver any other magic that you might know from CT_RaidAssist. This includes Decursing, Bossmods, Raid Status and Emergency Monitor. By not including these features, sRaidFrames will allow anyone the freedom to use whatever mod, if any, they prefer to do the above tasks.

Currently the frames provide a massive improvement in not only memory, but also FPS during raids, combined with oRA2 they are designed to help anyone completely replace CT_RaidAssist.

Installation Guide

Exit "World of Warcraft" completely
Download the mod you want to install
- Make a folder on your desktop called "My Mods"
- Save the .zip/.rar files to this folder.
- If, when you try to download the file, it automatically "opens" it... you need to RIGHT click on the link and "save as..." or "Save Target As".
Extract the file - commonly known as 'unzipping'
Do this ONE FILE AT A TIME!
- Windows
  - Windows XP a built in ZIP extractor. Double click on the file to open it, inside should be the file or folders needed. Copy these outside to the "My Mods" folder.
  - WinRAR: Right click the file, select "Extract Here"
  - WinZip: You MUST make sure the option to "Use Folder Names" is CHECKED or it will just extract the files and not make the proper folders how the Authors designed
- Mac Users
  - StuffitExpander: Double click the archive to extract it to a folder in the current directory.
Verify your WoW Installation Path
That is where you are running WoW from and THAT is where you need to install your mods.
Move to the Addon folder
- Open your World of Warcraft folder. (default is C:\Program Files\World of Warcraft\)
- Go into the "Interface" folder.
- Go into the "AddOns" folder.
- In a new window, open the "My Mods" folder.
- The "My Mods" folder should have the "Addonname" folder in it.
- Move the "Addonname" folder into the "AddOns" folder
Start World of Warcraft
Make sure AddOns are installed
- Log in
- At the Character Select screen, look in lower left corner for the "addons" button.
- If button is there: make sure all the mods you installed are listed and make sure "load out of date addons" is checked.
- If the button is NOT there: means you did not install the addons properly. Look at the above screenshots. Try repeating the steps or getting someone who knows more about computers than you do to help.

Translations

When you download a mod, please be sure that the mod is compatible with your translation of wow. Some mods only work on the US versions, while some only work on some of the various European versions. These variations are called "Localizations".

TOC Numbers (Out of Date Mods)

When Blizzard patches WoW, they change the Interface number. This means that all mods will be "out of date" unless or until the author releases a new version for that interface. Some people go into the .toc files and update the numbers themselves, but this is STRONGLY advised against as it will cause problems locating possible incompatibilities addons. When you log into WoW after a patch, you DO NOT have to delete your interface directory. All you have to do is simply tell WoW to ignore the interface numbers and load all the mods anyway. All you have to do is, while at the "character select" screen, look in the lower left corner and click on the "addons" button. A window will pop up listing all your installed mods.

If you look in the upper left corner of that window there should be a box that says "Load Out of Date AddOns". You want to CHECK this box. Now simply go into WoW normally and all your mods should load. As of the 1.9 patch, you will have to do this after EVERY patch/update that Blizzard posts! If you encounter any problems with a mod after a patch, please be sure to let the author of the mod know so they can fix it.

Mac Support

WoW addons are not platformed based. As such, they can be used on either Mac or PC. You can extract both .zip and .rar files on a Mac using StuffitExpander.

I use this and oRA2 but see that oRA2 is no longer listed on curse... Is it going to come back? Anyone know why it was removed?

I have the same error with the non-existant function as pasted below. Is a fix forthcoming? I'll try using it anyway to see what happens.

I have been using sRaidFrames for some time and it has worked well. However in the 2.2.2 patch a number of my addons stopped working, including this. I have deleted the AddOns folder and reinstalled all AddOns. I have a continuing problem with this AddOn. I get the following error:

First of all, this addon is quite nice, I really like it's clean and accurate UI and it has all things I need. I was only wondering is there a way to move the frames around? Because for now they sit nearly in middle of my screen, blocking my wiev altought there is plenty of room where party members are normally shown.

Is there an option in this addon to show only my own HoTs in frames? If there's 3-4 druids in raid and they all casting Rejuv/Lifebloom on MT, I can't tell when my own Rejuv and Lifebloom fades out :(

Every time I go into a BG, my screen will lock up for a good minute and a half as soon as I enter, and half the time that results in a DC. After disabling it, I saw next to no entering lag, so I can only assume that sRaidFrames is the culprit.
Any updates/ideas on this?

In the first screenshot, the mana bars are the same thickness as the health bars.
How do I set mine that way? I cannot find any option to change just the mana bar thickness.

why does the range check only have 10y 28y and 100 yards? i would think 40 yards woudl be good since most heals can be 40 yard range. wondering what is used to check range, and if its posible to get a 40 yard option.

Is it possible for the health and mana bars itself (only the bars not the frame) have a background alpha? Like when someone loses HP the HP bar that is missing is a little darker then when you are at full HP. I know CTRaid has an option for this. You can change the alpha for health and mana bars. Does anyone know if this is possible or should I look elsewhere?

check out Clearfont or Fontabulous for adjusting font size.
Again...This mod is not showing the raid frames on the Ui no matter what the settings. Does anyone at all know whats up and why this isnt working?

I seem to be having a problem. No matter what I select for settings now...none of my raid frames are showing up. Wether it be by class or groups, nothing appears now.
Do I have to reset something ot specifically have a setting on or off?
Anyone else with this problem?
