BarFix
This is a very light-weight addon, that cleans the default actionbar and enables you to modify them in many ways.
It uses the default actionbars, so there is no code running in the background or any extra graphics.
I have cut down my FPS by at least 10-20 points, since I use this instead of a fancy action-/unit- bars addon with many custom frames and stuff that I never used anyway.
Very easy to use. There is no option screens to handle. Ready to use out of the box!
Futures:
- Cleans the graphics from the bars
- Move bars anywhere
- Resize bars
- Change scale
- Change alpha
- Change spacing between buttons
- Choose the number of buttons to be shown
- Choose vertical or horizontal direction of bars
- Dock bars
- Up to 5 extra actionbars with 12 button each
Instructions:
- Bind a key to the "Edit" mode
- Hold mouse over any button of the bar you want to modify
- Press the binded key to enter "Edit" mode
- Make modifications (more info in the tooltip over the bar)
- Right-click the orange "B" button (B=Barfix) or press the binded key again to exit the "Edit" mode
To disable any extra part, rename or delete the corresponding file:
Rename or delete "BarFix_BagFrame.lua" to disable the bag frame.
Rename or delete "BarFix_Minimap.lua" to disable the minimap frame customization.
Rename or delete "BarFix_PlayerFrame.lua" to disable the player frame customization.
Rename or delete "BarFix_TargetFrame.lua" to disable the target frame customization.
Rename or delete "BarFix_ExtraBars.lua" to disable the extra action bars.

Each times I log the first button doesn't spawn, sometimes half of this bar doesn't spawn. I need to scroll (bars) if I want to see it.

KoJawn saidI like your scripts a lot. I am new to WoW and obviously to addon scripting. I was trying to add the main menu button back into the microbutton list but have failed this far could you add it back in and post it as an option. Also where would I find info on how to script for WoW addons?

Buckster saidI also just started using barfix and like it as well, though it is not usable when I am playing as my 'lock because when i summon a pet the original pet bar pops up and cannot be adjusted/moved, i cant even add buttons to it to make it functional...

Vaporizer saidIt sadens me that an addon this good no longer is in development. Barfix simply outsmarts all other bar addons. I hope that someone will take this addon up again so we can continue to use what im rating as the very best.

I don't use the Minimap that is included with Barfix, but looking at the error you're getting you can try the following. Open file BarFix_Minimap.lua and search for "MinimapTrackingFrame". Replace "MinimapTrackingFrame" with "MinimapTracking".

(in order of importance)
1. a way to hide unused bars
2. a way to enable or disable the different parts of this addon we want to use WITHOUT having to make manual changes.
3. an option to unlock different parts and move them. (for instance, I'd like to move my map to the bottom middle)
4. Full feature instructions on the curse description page. I use it for reference... not the readme files on my computer.

daughtryfan saidThanks tipoux :) That's what I needed to know. In your first question, if you're talking about the buttons to open your quest log, character pane, social buttons, if you right click on the top or bottom bar it will bring up Rock. In one of those selections, there is a place to click to bring up the micro menu, just check on that and that should do it. If that's not what you were talking about, sorry I couldn't help.
But, one more thing....my minimap button that sits on the side of my minimap had disappeared and I can't get it back. Anyone know what I need to do to get it back??? I really like Barfix, but if I can't get my minimap button back, then I'm gonna have to find something else. I can't play the game with no map!

tipoux said@daughtryfan: Hi, I'm really no expert with this mod (in fact, I've got question too :-P ) but you just have to hover your pointer over the map, roll the mouse wheel while holding <key> will do:
Shift: Scale the Map
Ctrl: Zoom the map
Alt: Change the Alpha (The opacity) of the map
Ok, I've got a few questions, if you could please anwser.
1- Is there a way to keep the menu items in the bottom bar and not in the "escape menu"?
2- (Optional) Is there a way to toggle the actionbars?

daughtryfan saidHi, I just started using Barfix and I have a couple of questions. I have set up all my bars to my liking, except I can't change my Player Frame or the minimap. I'm not sure what I'm supposed to do to be able to edit those. Apparently you have to do it differently than using the keybinding and hovering over it like the action bars...? Also, the little bubble on my minimap to open the map has disappeared and I can't figure for the life of me how to get it back.
Anyone with any info or suggestions would be greatly appreciated!!!
