- About TotemTimers
This addon displays four timer buttons one for each totem element. If you cast a totem it's icon will be set to the appropriate timer button with the totem's remaining time underneath it.
These buttons also act as action buttons for casting your totems. Each timer button consists of two icons: The big main icon which indicates which totems are currently active and a small mini icon which indicates what totem will be cast when you leftclick that button. To change the totem assigned to that button mouseover it (you can set that behaviour to rightclick instead of mouseover, see options below). A button bar will appear with all totems for the timer's element. If you leftclick such a totem button it will cast the displayed totem. If you rightlick a totem button that totem will be assigned to the timer button. If you middleclick a totem button that totem will be cast and set to the timer button. Totem ordering of the totem bars can be changed by simply dragging one totem button onto another one. It will then be put before that.
You can assign two keys to each timer button: One key simply leftclicks the timer button so that you can recast a totem. The other opens that timer buttons totem bar. You can then cast a totem by using a number key (the totem buttons are marked accordingly). You can also assign a key to Totemic Call.
An additional tracker window has the following trackers:
- Reincarnation timer
- Water/Lightning Shield timer (leftclick to cast Lightning Shield, rightlick for Water Shield)
- Earth Shield Counter (leftclick to cast Earth Shield on focus, rightclick on target, middleclick on targettarget)
- Weapon Buff trackers (you can set the buffs you cast with lc and rc in the options menu)
You can set options using the /tt or /totemtimers command.

colsen109 saidThis addon is great, and I would suggest one thing.
I'm deciding to use this because I don't require 50 other actionbar buttons for my totems, but I'd still like to use a hotkey to cast all of my totems without having to scroll over the buttons to see all the totems.
Is there a way to set the 4 about-to-be-cast totems with different hotkeys? Or, better yet, is there a way to macro it insomuch that I can just make a castsequence with all of them?
Thanks in advance.

Xianghar saidYou can set keybindings for the four timer buttons in the WoW Key Bindings menu.
A macro called "TT Cast" for casting all four totems in a castsequence is automatically generated and updated when you change the totems set to the timer buttons.

angelajordan saidI've not yet figured out how to get this TT Cast hotkey to work for me.
I've had to make a separate macros for just laying down 2 or 3 specific totems when raiding and just use the TT interface for my shields and the count downs.
The reason being... when I'm healing, I only drop a Mana and a Wrath of Air. When I'm Elemental, I'm usually grouped with a bunch of other casters and we don't need an earth totem. Is there a way to set a totem set to null and have a 2 or 3 totem rotation instead of always dropping all 4?

daikane said"TT Cast", now, that answered what I was wondering at some point myself. Didn't recall making sucha macro myself :-)
A real handy one that, when hotkeyed. Got myself some macro space by getting rid of multiple conditional macros for grouped/non-grouped/raid/etc totems sequences.

angelajordan saidI experienced a problem similar to Stingray454 when I first started using TotemTimers. It took me forever to figure out what was going on, but here is what I was doing...
I have a macros on my number keys that cast my LB/trinkets/EM/etc just like you. In the middle of some fight, I see the timers start to get red, recall then click on whatever totem buttons that I want to cast. Since I still had my target selected, I would go ahead and start spamming my LB or pop a trinket or whatever. All of a sudden, a totem would cast, wasting mana, time, etc, and I couldn't figure out why.
Turned out every once in a while I was still hovering over that totem button that I had just clicked to cast. So, I was casting whatever number totem with the hotkey for TotemTimers. This was most frustrating when I had just cast a Fire Elemental in a pinch and all of a sudden some piece of crap frost resistance totem would be down. However, after I figured it out, all was well.
Hope that helps.

Stingray454 saidLove this addon, but one thing is VERY frustrating. If you put down a totem in a stressy situation (while fighting for example) by clicking the icon, it ofc triggers the global cooldown. If you then press any of the numeric keys on your hotbar within the GCD, it triggers another totem instead of the thing on my hotbar. Can this be avoided?
Example: I place a searing totem. I hade Stormstrike mapped to "2" on my hotbar, and I click that as soon as the totem is down. However, I click a bit fast and the GCD was not over, hence fire totem #2 is triggered instead of Stormstrike, and I place the fire elemental totem instead of hitting the mob. Very annoying :)
Is it possible to disable the numeric "quick select keys" on the totems somehow? Seems as totemtimers keeps focus during gcd.

Xianghar saidI cannnot reproduce that behaviour.
If you click a totem the menu closes and the keybindings are cleared immediately. And how can you cast anything if you are on GCD?
Somewhere there is an option to disable the totem menu keybindings.

Psipherious saidI believe Totems work on a 1 second GCD and all other spells work on a 1.5 second GCD (which is how he could cast a fire totem while his SS is on GCD).

Jeremyz0r saidSuggestion/Removal of feature: Log in message "TotemTimers not loaded".
Is this only shown when you log onto a non-Shaman class? It could only be more redundant if it stated "because you're not on your Shaman, HAH!".

Johaswynn saidAny way to add a fancy totem twister for windfury and grounding like you did with windfury and grace?

Xianghar saidNo there won't be any additional features before WotLK. And in WotLK won't be any totem twisting.

daikane saidA little fix to the Buffs.lua: (at line 38)
--- original:
if arg1 >= maxbuffs then
--- changed to:
if type(arg1) == 'string' then
-- do nothing (e.g. GoGoMount sends an empty string instead of a number).
elseif arg1 >= maxbuffs then
The above change gets rid of a pesky lua error when e.g. with GoGoMount when switching as shaman from ghost wolf to mount without 'cancelling' ghost wolf first.

angelajordan saidForgot to mention, I also have something called sphereloader. I can't find updates for that anywhere, I think it has been replaced by Sabella, but I don't have that, so I am questioning if I can delete sphereloader. Any help would be great! Thanks.

Xianghar saidIf you're using TT8.0 or newer you can safely delete the TotemTimers_GUI folder. Sphereloader has nothing to do with TT so I can't help you with that.

angelajordan saidI have a file called TotemTimers_GUI in my addons folder. It doesn't update with WoWMatrix. Is this something old that I can get rid of or do I need to manually update it?
Thanks again for the great mod!

Xianghar saidTry the following:
/script InterfaceOptionsFrame:ClearAllPoints() InterfaceOptionsFrame:SetPoint("CENTER")
If that doesn't help, try deleting the contents of the Cache folder inside your WoW folder.

sufferage saidHI - and my thanks too for the excellent shami mod!
I cant seem to make the second click to set focus for earth shield happen - loaded a focus display and it doesn't seem to work (possibly any more - seemed to me like the shielding behaviour changed). I can manually set a focus and then left mouse will cast on it - but having it set focus based on left click cast (?) is great.
Has something changed or is it my fingers?
