Summary

With Baud Manifest, you can browse your inventory as a list, instead of the standard bag layout. Categories can be created to organize the list, allowing you to place items as well as other categories within them. Categories can be expanded to view the contents, or minimized to save visual space. The item list can be also sorted or filtered to help you find items. You can also view manifests of other characters, aswell as a combined list of all your characters' manifests.

Using Baud Manifest

After you've installed Baud Manifest, you can access your manifest simply by opening your backpack. You'll probably want to organize it a bit with categories, so it's easier to manage. The easiest way to get started with this is to let Baud Manifest categorize your items based on their item types. To do this, click on the down arrow in the upper right corner of the display, and select "Categorize by Type" from the menu that appears.

Categories

To create a category, click the down arrow in the upper right corner of the display, and click on Create Category. To rename a category, right click on it and type in a name. To delete a category, drag it out of the display and click on the game world, in much the same way you would delete an item.

Moving Items

When you drag an item in Baud Manifest, the largest available stack will be picked up. To select the amount of an item to move, shift-click or shift-drag the item, and select the amount you want to move (Can be more than one stack). To pickup the smallest stack on your character, ctrl-drag the item. To pickup one of the item, alt-drag it. To move all stacks of an item, shift-ctrl-drag the item.

Using the Standard Bag Interface

You can also access the standard bag interface by using the Open All Bags key, using the bag buttons in the manifest, or by disabling the "Replace Blizzard's Bags" option.

Best inventory mod I have found.. thanks! Anybody reading this page and wondering if it is really better than the bag mod they are currently using should definitely dload it and give it a try. Easy set up from the start and hard to go back once you have used it.

I too would like guild bank support. Your addon has spoiled me and I can hardly tell what's in our guild bank without moving my mouse all over and doing a ton of counting.

Just use shift click/drag to select the amount you want to move. Alternatively, holding ctrl while dragging will move the smallest stack, and holding alt will move 1.

Referring to my last post I see that you could open up your bags from the menu (ei, baud bag) to get the stack size that you need, though I was wandering if it is in fact possible to do it through baud manifest. If so Great, if not then it would make a great addition. Thanks for reading. *wave*

Hi, I love this mod and have moved to make it my main bag add-on. Though, I was wandering about when you separate a stack of items, and then have 2 stacks of the same item, how do you select the one you want? Say you have 10 rune cloth, and you turn off auto combining feature. You separate the rune into a six stack and a four stack. I want to put the 4 stack in to trade, but it selects the six instead. How do I select the one I need at the time? Thanks. :)

Thank you for this add-on ! I'll no longer can play without it.
    I have a little problem.
When I equip an item from a category the item count of this category doesn't decrease.
Excuse for my english, I am french.

  • April 10, 2008, 08:21PM (2 months, 3 weeks ago)

That's because the item is still there, it's just not being shown. There's an option called "Hide Equipped" in the options menu which will allow you to see them if you turn it off. Also, your English is just fine. =)

    Hey!

First I'd like to say that I *love* this mod. It is by far my favorite inventory manager, and the most readable and space-efficient that I've found. I'd only like to offer a couple of suggestions to make it truly perfect :)

    1) Would it be possible to have the sorting work within categories? When I sort by item quality or slot used, for instance, it removes my custom category arrangement and sorts it as a large list. Being able to have it sort within each category would be great!

    2) Is it feasible to have newly acquired items automatically sorted into the appropriate category when you first pick them up? Perhaps the user-created categories could have options associated with them, such as item types. For instance, I could create a category and set an option for it so that all items of type "Food" should be put there. A flag of some sort for newly acquired items may also be helpful, so they can be quickly located after they are auto-sorted.

I don't know how do-able these things are, and I am sure you have plenty on your plate anyhow, but I just thought I'd offer some suggestions for one of my new favorite mods :) Thanks for the hard work!

    Hi,

I didn't find any options for that...

PS : Sorry for my poor english (I'm french).

Hi! I'm a big fan of your addon but with the last version I have a LUA Error :
"Interface\AddOns\BaudManifest\BaudManifest.lua:1249: attempt to perform arithmetic on field 'FadeStart' (a nil value)".

Do you know why I have this error?

  • Feb. 25, 2008, 05:44PM (4 months, 1 week ago)

I just try to change some options and it seems that this error appear only when the fading effect on open/close is disabled

so I will use it with the effect on but I prefer without ^^

thanks for your work and I hope you can fix it soon

Love this mod. Best one out there for inventory control. One request, would it be possible to get a sort option that would sort by rarity within a given category, including custom cats?

@Jesamyn :: But an offline view of the Guild Bank in this format would be awesome, eh?

  • Feb. 15, 2008, 09:40PM (4 months, 2 weeks ago)

Oh, I already use Possessions 2.0 for offline viewing. In all honesty, I just use this for current and bank inventory on the current toon...for which I love it. :)
