Original description:
This Mod was created to have a better visibility when you gain buffs, debuffs and many more. Very util for shorts buffs or debuffs, it allows you to have in the center of the screen, or around your character, very customizable visual effects, rather than all the time have to look on the other side of the screen to see if you have a buff or a debuff on you.
Initially created to have an better visibility on the short buffs like "clear cast" or some boost trinket you activate, it works now with debuffs (whatever their name), debuff types like Magic or Curse, combo points, Aoe debuffs and weapon enchants.
How to use :
Type /powa to open the config window. Now you see many empty slots on the right side. Click on the button "New" to make a new aura. It open the effect editor, then you can choose the texture to apply to the effect, the position, the size, the symmetry, etc... Then, enter the name or a part of the name of the buff / debuff (ex: if you try to activate the visual effect on "Clear cast", you can enter only "Clear" in the name of the buff).
The Mod will take care to show the effect where you wish and to remove it when the buff is finished.
You can so easily add new textures by adding them in the "Custom" Directory
I'm going to continue this Addon, because there was many suggestions in the commentars from the old Addon. And the author havn't the time to continue himself.
Please report bugs and suggestions if u find.
There is a Ace-Addon "Avion" which as the same idea from this addon. But it shows only a single animation when the event is fired. Yet.
When Avion is better then this. I'm going to stop the development.

Installation Guide
- Exit "World of Warcraft" completely
- Download the mod you want to install
- Make a folder on your desktop called "My Mods"
- Save the .zip/.rar files to this folder.
- If, when you try to download the file, it automatically "opens" it... you need to RIGHT click on the link and "save as..." or "Save Target As".
- Extract the file - commonly known as 'unzipping'
Do this ONE FILE AT A TIME!
- Windows
- Windows XP a built in ZIP extractor. Double click on the file to open it, inside should be the file or folders needed. Copy these outside to the "My Mods" folder.
- WinRAR: Right click the file, select "Extract Here"
- WinZip: You MUST make sure the option to "Use Folder Names" is CHECKED or it will just extract the files and not make the proper folders how the Authors designed
- Mac Users
- StuffitExpander: Double click the archive to extract it to a folder in the current directory.
- Verify your WoW Installation Path
That is where you are running WoW from and THAT is where you need to install your mods.
- Move to the Addon folder
- Open your World of Warcraft folder. (default is C:\Program Files\World of Warcraft\)
- Go into the "Interface" folder.
- Go into the "AddOns" folder.
- In a new window, open the "My Mods" folder.
- The "My Mods" folder should have the "Addonname" folder in it.
- Move the "Addonname" folder into the "AddOns" folder
- Start World of Warcraft
- Make sure AddOns are installed
- At the Character Select screen, look in lower left corner for the "addons" button.
- If button is there: make sure all the mods you installed are listed and make sure "load out of date addons" is checked.
- If the button is NOT there: means you did not install the addons properly. Look at the above screenshots. Try repeating the steps or getting someone who knows more about computers than you do to help.
Translations
When you download a mod, please be sure that the mod is compatible with your translation of wow. Some mods only work on the US versions, while some only work on some of the various European versions. These variations are called "Localizations".
TOC Numbers (Out of Date Mods)
When Blizzard patches WoW, they change the Interface number. This means that all mods will be "out of date" unless or until the author releases a new version for that interface. Some people go into the .toc files and update the numbers themselves, but this is STRONGLY advised against as it will cause problems locating possible incompatibilities addons. When you log into WoW after a patch, you DO NOT have to delete your interface directory. All you have to do is simply tell WoW to ignore the interface numbers and load all the mods anyway. All you have to do is, while at the "character select" screen, look in the lower left corner and click on the "addons" button. A window will pop up listing all your installed mods.
If you look in the upper left corner of that window there should be a box that says "Load Out of Date AddOns". You want to CHECK this box. Now simply go into WoW normally and all your mods should load. As of the 1.9 patch, you will have to do this after EVERY patch/update that Blizzard posts! If you encounter any problems with a mod after a patch, please be sure to let the author of the mod know so they can fix it.

Mac Support
WoW addons are not platformed based. As such, they can be used on either Mac or PC. You can extract both .zip and .rar files on a Mac using StuffitExpander.

mazingerz saidWondering if there's anyway to get the timers to reset when a buff/debuff is reapplied. For example, as a rogue I've noticed crippling poison will only count down the duration from the initial application, not if it's reapplied, either when I shiv or a lucky proc. Is that anyway to get the time to reset every time a debuff like crippling poison is applied?

Action usable and a few more bugs have been fixed,
the parts that broke with the 2.4 api changes recoded,
and a couple new features added. (more coming over next weeks)

ETA: Does the timer still work for anyone else? I can't get Actions Usable to work, nor can I get timers to show up (polymorph duration)?

oxnan saidI started playing a druid and i wanted to make something for when Feral Charge is available so i tried with action usable, but it doesnt work like i want it. It only works when i got in bear form and have the rage for it. I just want to know when the cooldown is ready, so maybe add an option for cooldown as well as action usable?

johot saidGreat addon!
The reason for the bug where update only happens when changing targets is that the event "ACTIONBAR_UPDATE_USABLE" seems to be bugged. It should be raised when a new item in the actionbar is ready but it isn't, instead it will raise when changing targets. I guess this is a bug that blizzard needs to fix. However, I have created an updated power auras mod that has a workaround for this issue. In my version of this mod I also added support for more timers and also the ability to use the actionbar icons for your icons.
If you are interested in this and this author don't have plans to do any more about this I could release a "continued 2" version of this mod if you want to? In that case could someone also test the current mod on the PTR. I don't want to put down tremendous amounts of work and still not have it running on 2.4 :)

nosscire saidLOVE the addon. Have a few questions and ideas though, and thought I would post them here.
On my Belf, I wan't to monitor my Mana Tap ability. If I have 3 charges of mana tap up, it should show an icon. Can't get that to work though, when I tried using the Stacks setting. It shows up as soon as I have one charge. What am I doing wrong? :)
Also, is it somehow possible to have a sound when an icon disappears? I'm using this addon to keep track on my CC'd focus, and that works great. However, I wan't a sound when sheep/shackle etc breaks. Right now I have a second effect that makes a sound when focus isn't sheeped, and a small, 10% opacity icon on the edge of the screen (pretty much invisible) to make that sound. Seams like a bad way to make this happen though.
And one last thing. Can you add a setting for effects to be hidden when dead?
Once again, great addon!

raisers saidThis is absolutely the best visual addon ive ever seen in WoW and believe me ive tried hundreds of addons :) You who continued development - thank you thank you thank you :)
Feature request: would it be possible (and if timers work counting down then i see no reason why not) to have option to set 3rd animation going for user defined seconds BEFORE certain buff ENDS? Or to have a timer popup for last 5-10 secs.
So, if my BattleShout lasts 2mins and i make a static graphic for it i would like last 10 secs to get some flashing animation going just to remind me its about to fade.
Also if anyone knows how, would it be possible for someone to extract textures from game so we have symbols that are exactly the same for certain abilities and make a downloadable texture pack?
Big thanks to all. I love this addon.
