I use my laptop either by itself (rarely) or on 2 different monitors, one at work, the other at home.
The different monitor resolutions differ GREATLY so i have 2 different WoW installations, and shortcuts so that i have different UI's set up with addons positioned for each monitor.
This is causeing HELL for me to keep my addons updated since i have 2 sets of addons.
I dont know which set curse is updating since there is absolutely no options for choosing directory.
and there is no way to change its settings so that i can manually point it to my other directory and update that set.
this is causing a nightmare for me w/ keeping addons up to date. Im updating manually now more then allowing curse to do it.
Im about half a step from deleting curse from my system and doing it all manually.
help? suggestions? solutions?

If you click the "Manage Games" button on the left you will have the option to change the location of where you have wow installed.
Though my suggestion would be to only have one wow installation and change your video setting depending on what monitor you use. You can do this at the logon screen before you logon to the game and would be much easier then trying to manage multiple wow directories. IMO

The initial wow installation is automatically detected, however you can set up the client for multiple.
To change the settings where the directory points to, click Manage Games, then select Add Game, give it a label, then use Browse point that to your second directory.
Hope this helps, if I'm understanding the issue correctly.

sadly, because the resolutions differ so very much between the monitors, i cant even GET to the first wow screen if its on the wrong monitor. AND because i use so man addons, i got tired of having to spend 30 min arranging them all on my UI so that i could play twice a day. SO i just duplicated my install, set each one up on the monitor it applied to, and now, i just log into the one that is designated for the monitor, and no having to move everything around all the time. only problem was the addon updates

We would like to support multi-monitor and multi-box setups. So I'm glad you have it working more like you wish, however I'll create a ticket that the client has issues with multi-monitor setups in different resolutions.

Gotcha. Didn't even think of that.
Did you try setting up multiple games like llamabark said?

actually, because i wasnt aware i didnt look, curse seems to have automatically detected 2 wow installs. when i loaded it back up and went to add it via manage games, i saw 2 wow's there, and the second one was out of date. still had to update everything 1 by 1 which i dont like, but ive bitched enough about that subject. bravo for that, i was impressed, and still boo for not letting ur customers who've been loyal for years have premium for free.
