I'd like to recommend the ability for the author of an addon to have the ability to remove comments posted to their comments area. Over the past two days, a person has posted a message directing people to a "free version" of my addon. The domain name they post is hosted in China. I have not granted them permission to distribute my addon and I worry that the people who download from the Chinese site may get more than they bargined for as I have no way of knowing if the addon has been modified to be malicious. Rather than "report"ing the comment, I would like to be able to delete it. This is the current method over at WoWUI and has been very effective. Administrator monitoring of this feature would show if anyone was abusing it and it would allow authors to kill the comment immediately without delay.
Or, prevent people who just signed up with an account the ability to post the same message to the comments of 200 addons which appears to be what is happening here.
