Curse Client contains possible Virus

After the lates client update to 3.0.0.6 my antivirus is catching CC as a threat with the message:

CurseClient.exe (3872) is attempting to configure Internet Explorer.

This can result in changes to your home page, trusted Web sites, and other settings.

It is given a risk level of HIGH.

Has anyone else seen this?

I've gotten this error too.

I imagine this is because it associates the psyn: protocol with the curse client inside your browser, so that the 'install via curse client' buttons will work.

How do I keep this from happening?

BTW the new 3.0.0.7 version now starts with a new "Suspicious" risk error.

I am using Trend Micro with the setting at Medium.

Could it be comming from the advertisements?

If you don't get a reply from Prodigal soon, I will bump and forward this to him. Tech stuff with the client is best answered by "orange" people.
