I seem to remember an addon that remembers what chat you last spoke in, like officer and numbered chat channels, when you hit enter, but I can't seem to find it again.

Does anyone know of an addon like that which works with the current version of the game?

Prat does that, and much, much more.

Thanks for the tip, I was hoping for something simpler, but I'll take whatever I can get I guess. At least all the extra stuff can be disabled

You can just type into a chat box or make a macre:

/script ChatTypeInfo["CHANNEL"]={sticky=1};

Valid "CHANNEL" names are:

SAY
YELL
PARTY
GUILD
OFFICER
RAID
RAID_WARNING
BATTLEGROUND
WHISPER
CHANNEL
