I add an addon to the addon folder, but it never appears in my Wow addons thing at the character screen. Can some one explain to me how to succesfully donwlaod on addon for an Imac?

Sounds like you did not unzip it. Or if you did was maybe it an out of dated addon. If so click load out of dated in your addon page.
