I finally made a character on WoW, after downloading a few things. Tested out a few things, and removed the addons that did things i don't like. When i log back in the journal mod is still there even though i removed it, i removed all addon's too and that didn't work either :( I know this is the wrong place to go, but i would also like a few Addon recommendations that actually WORK with the newest patch. Thanks

Biggest tip for new players with addons that "don't work."

1. Yes, it is possible that an addon may not work with the current version of the game. Blizzard changes the code to add features or remove ones they don't want/like

2. To truly find out if an addon doesn't work, at the character select screen you should see a button called Addons (this is only there if you install addons). Click that and a new window pops open. Top left of new window is a tick box called Load out of date addons. Turn that on. Blizzard resets it to off every patch to eliminate addon conflicts, so you may have to turn it back on come patch days.

Some addons that are older work fine with the current game (my own MrBigglesworthDeath, for example) but are rated for an earlier version of the game. #2 above tells WoW to load older addons.
