So since the patch, I can't get Curse Client to run at all.
Things I have tried: Reinstall Set admin access Turn off firewall Uninstall and reinstall again D:
This is NOT fun. I need my addons. QxQ
I run Vista if that helps. Automatic install buttons on the site don't run the program either..

You always have to load out of date addons, until you update them. I've known that for a few years. ^.~ *pats* Glad you solved YOUR problem.

What version of Windows are you running?
When you launch it does it show up in the process list? You can check this by right-clicking your taskbar and going to Start Task Manager and click the Processes tab. If it's running you should see CurseClient.exe.

I know this may sound stupid but did you try checking your system tray near the clock in the bottom-right? It might've gotten hidden due to inactivity and you may have to click the little arrow.

Restarted my computer and got it to load. Asked me to grant it access a half dozen times..
THEN I get the "Unable to connect blah blah blah firewall" bs. I manually turn everything off, firewall, virus program, then give it max access on my virus program just in case. STILL the same message. QQ

Just reinstalled it on the 5th a half dozen times. So whichever version is current to that date. Want to say 3.0?

3.0.0.7 is probably what you're running.
Not sure if this will work, but can you try running it as an administrator? I know you're on Vista and there are some issues around that.

I've tried that. I know you have to do it from the start menu too. Still doesn't work.

For Vista, you pull it up in the start menu, right click and select properties, go to the "compatibility" tab, then for privilege level you click "run this program as an administer". Which I did, then clicked apply, then selected to allow the program to make that change.
I did this all last week when I first had this problem, and did it again just now just for the sake of doing so.
