I've written a few intended to help with RP. In particular, RandomSay makes it easier to write macros to say or emote one of a list of things. For example:
#showtooltip
/rem 25 stomps his foot and lets out a mighty yell./stomps his foot, shaking the very ground.
/cast Thunder Clap
Hitting this will use the "Thunder Clap" abilities, and 25% of the time will emote one of "Name stomps his foot and lets out a mighty yell." or "Name stomps his foot, shaking the very ground."
AddEmote lets you create and use your own /command emotes.
ChatSubs works in conjunction with either of these (and is actually included with AddEmote) to extend the "%t" and "%f" functionality that Blizzard gives. With it, you can also do %p to show your own name, %m for your pet's, and can add further characters to give other things. For example, "c" for class, "r" for race, "s" for sex, "n" for nominative pronoun (he/she), "o" for objective pronoun (him/her), and several more. Thus, you can do something like:
/target noobkiller
/s Well, %t! I wouldn't expect any better from a dirty %tr like %to!
and have it come out as:
Well, Noobkiller! I wouldn't expect any better from a dirty death knight like him!
Since AddEmote includes ChatSubs, you can use these to make your emotes more generic. Here are some I use:
/petleer - 's %mt %m leers at %t.
Example: Bonfire's imp Gobkin leers at Karista.
/challenge - calls out, "%t! Know the name of the one who shall slay you - %p!"
Example: Nordrael calls out, "Son of Arugal! Know the name of the one who shall slay you - Nordrael!"
/playfire - conjures a ball of fire and idly tosses it back and forth in %pp hands.
Example: Bonefire conjures a ball of fire and idly tosses it back and forth in his hands.
There are also non-RP uses. For example, since ChatSubs works in all channels, you could macro:
/3 Spotted %tpvp %tr %tc %tl named %t at %pos
When you targeted someone and hit the macro, you'd get something like:
Spotted flagged human paladin 43 named Deadmeat at 35,70
So, anyway, if any of that sounds good to you, check them out. They're all available on wowui.incgamers.com.
