Do you mean the automatic install on the addon pages? Unless you have associated the installs (which have a strange extention I can't remember at the moment) with the Curse client, when you click "Automatically Install via Curse Client" links, you'll get the regular download box, asking if you want to download this or open it with the default program. Choose "open with..." then choose "Browse" then find your Curse client there. (These steps may be slightly different depending on your browser, but should get you where you need to be.)
