I have purchased and registered the burning crusade and lich king on top of my original wow game.

I have reinstalled the game fully through a client download on my account page, i selected wotlk so

all 3 games are installed but i still cannot access Burning crusades or create a Blood elf/Dranei.

My account says it is activated upto the lich king,

 
Please help, i am at my wits end with this !!??

Have you tried contacting Blizzard either through their support page or with a telephone call? I think that would probably be your best bet, since it sounds like it's a problem with your game, and not some addons.

The other thing is that I don't believe you can actually select "The Burning Crusade" and play just that, or "Wrath of the Litch King" either, for that matter. They are both expansions to the original World of Warcraft programing. As such, they are all combined into one game on your computer. At the proper levels, or in the proper area's (or a combination of both), you gain access to that content.

You, also, cannot create a Blood Elf/Dranai as these are not only from two different races, but also two different factions. Blood Elfs are Horde and Dranai are Alliance, and never the twain shall meet 'less it be in battle.    If I misunderstood your statement, I appologize.

I have e-mailed blizzard and i await there reply, its just so frustrating as i wanted to make a Dranai char and play while i have some time off work but it has all gone wrong and i have not been able to play, (really gutted :(

I understand that Blood Elf/Dranaiare different, i just cannot create either.  I really cant work this one out, i am not a noob with computers and have never had trouble before but this game is killing, o cant get it to work properly.  If it was not for the fact that i have just paid £30 to upgrade the game and have a on going suscription i would have put it in the bin by now!!

And to top it all WOW forums and tech help constantly say server down etc!!!

Yes i purchased 30 days and that is active till 10th Oct

I hate to say this, but I did the same exact thing and had that problem.

I uninstalled wow totally.

Downloaded the original client, and patched it all the way.

Then I did the same with BC and patched it all the way.

Last, I did WOTLK, patched all the way.

The best I can tell is the client likes "order."

Thanks guys, i managed to get hold of Blizzard billing department and a very helpfull lady reset my account details from there end and now it is all working fine
