Hello everyone, I find my self getting lost in combat alot and not looking at the chat box. Because of this I miss it 99% of the time when someone is trying to talk to me in guild chat, say, or party chat. About 3 years ago I had a addon that scanned the chat box for my toons name and when someone would say somting with my name in it, it would pop up in the center of my screen as a raid anoucement or a ready check. Does this addon still around or was it lost for ever because I can't find anyting like that any where. If anyone knows where I could find this or something close to it I would be for ever grateful.

ChatMod may have been that addon.  http://wow.curse.com/downloads/wow-addons/details/chat-mod.aspx  I switched to Prat myself after ChatMod hadn't been updated, but it has just recently been fan-updated.

I just use the built-in chat windows. Create new ones, and assign whatever you want to them. I have one exclusively for whispers, for example.

WoW Instant Messenger will also seperate your different chats into a seperate window.
