old versions of auctioneer used to auto-buy and auto-sell items you purchased form the bank without manual intervention, it would basically allow relisting to take place without intervention or clicking items. obviously, prices boomed and kept booming,
very soon after, the AH interface required manual intervention to buy and sell items. while the bulk-sell 'appraiser' works automatically once you 'click on it', the 'snatch' searcher does not, though it does the next best thing, it queues up as many purchases as it can, then dumps them into a buy/bid window for each item to be purchased or bid upon.
the real time searcher also queues items, to prevent AH overloading.
as for the future auction-web interface, don't expect good things to come from it, expect flash and dodgy UI's with 30 day history/forecasts graphs for prices, etc. i don't think it will have the full repetoire of enchantrix/lilsparkysworkshop behind the pricing of items for markup, vendor or disenchant pricing that auctioneer advanced has.
