I have been trying to download an earlier version of a couple different addons due to performance issues with their most recent updates. When I click on the version that I want to install, for some reason, the most recent version is installed instead of the version that I want. Is there a way to avoid this from happening, or is this an automatic feature of the curse client?

Any help anyone can offer will be greatly appreciated.

Try going to the addon project page on CurseForge or WowAce and getting it from there.
