Not showing addons

I installed the new client - added the paths (Games/World of Warcraft) en then it does othing - it is not showing any addon

Report this thread post

Wow that is a problem. Sry wish i could help. Try to uninstall your curse client and reinstall it.

Report this thread post

tried it - it only shows the addon that I install from the list - so removed it and using wowmatrix now - easier

When I first installed it, my client also showed a blank list. All I had to do to fix it was click the "Refresh" button on the upper left-hand corner of the window.

Do you need to be premium member to see all addons currently installed ?

Report this thread post

No, you do not need to be Premium.

On Macs, the correct path to the game is

\macinstosh hd\applications\world of warcraft\interface\addons

The bolded part is all the Client needs to know.

When i set mine up i set it to the addons folder, this turned out to be wrong later on i changed it to the actualy WoW folder and they all appeared.

I've tried pretty much every path imaginable and it still doesn't work, i've even tried different capitalizations and everything but it still won't work

Report this thread post

are they supposed to be back slashes?

Report this thread post

Stark, capitalization does not matter, and neither do the slashes, since both of those are taken care of by the Mac OS. What you are looking for is the world of warcraft folder, the one that has the game file. I printed the default path above. You could use the Finder to search for either Launcher or WoW and if you find one or the other, that's the correct path.

yes im aware what im looking for and i know what folder it is in but it just won't show any addons except for the ones i download. i've checked and the path is /Applications/World of Warcraft/. so i'm not really sure what i'm doing wrong.

Report this thread post

same here, tried again

- Mac HD/Games/World of Warcraft

- /Games/World of Warcraft

none seems to be working. Is there something else that we need to check. I downloaded the client, installed and set the preferences.

Report this thread post

for some weird and unexplainanble the addons are there :-) maybe patience was my issue. Seems to be working now - now lets see if it gets updated

Report this thread post

sadly mine still is not

Stark, the other search you could do with the Finder is look for the word Blizzard. There should be some addons already in the Addons folder called Blizzard_ xxx (where xxx are things like AuctionHouse, Quests, or whatnot). Whatever folder those are in is the correct Addons folder.

yeah i know. still not working.

You don't need to type in the pathname. Just drag the WoW folder onto the text field (or copy and paste it), and the pathname should get filled in automatically.

Now, does it need to be the path to the WoW folder, or to the program, or to the AddOns folder? And another problem, the client can't download through the links on the site.

Check this maybe it will work for you.

When you open the panel to add the game please notice that in the row where you are supposed to enter the path there are two text fields, so if you double click on the left one where it says "Game Name" you can replace it writing "World of Warcraft", of course strip the inverted commas; when you click on the right text field where it says "Full path to game, i.e. /Applications/World of Warcraft" you can insert the true path of your WoW installation, in my case it is "/Applications/H/Games/World of Warcraft" but in your case it might well be just "/Applications/World of Warcraft", again do not insert the inverted commas. That's it. It would be a nice thing if the developer could add a border well delimiting the two text frames. Hope this helps,

Gio.

Now I have the addons showing, but not all of them are in the list. I have about 25-30 mods, and only 12 show up on the list. Weird.
