I am an 80 dk and haven't gotten my epic mount yet. :( I think the reason is because I do pvp too much but I want to know if I should farm do dailies or what? If any body who reaeds this has an idea pls tell me so I can stop running around like a total retard in Northrend!!!

Best way to get 5k Gold is to do the dailies in Northrend - they usually pay pretty good and you should have 5K in a few weeks

Depending on your farming skills, you could get 5k in a week if you farmed (Herbalism or such)

Use your tradeskills; if you don't have mats, check the AH for their cost, and the going price for the finished items. If it is worth it, buy lots, craft, put back into the AH. Vendor all your grey items rather than trashing them. Get any BoE items that aren't worth selling themselves disenchanted and sell the components. Fish and cook as much as you can, and AH the good stuff that everybody wants.

As Bajadad says, you can get 5K in a short amount of time if you put the work in.
