grid,healbot or clique?

Im looking for a new addon for healing/grop instances and i couldn't decide between healbot or grid. then someone said clique was the best? any suggestions? here are my criteria:

1) ease of use
2)memory usage
3)updates
4)features

I prefer clique with a nice unit frame such as Xperl. Grid is cool but it takes away precious screen real estate.

@ Balsta. If grid is taking up precious space, then configure it better, it can take up as much space as you want.

@ Aztek. With the named addons you have 2 options, Healbot or Grid + Clique. Healbot is a combined unitframes + spellhandler. Grid is purely unitframes and Clique is purely a spellhandler. I use Grid + Clique for some time already (and I have used Healbot before). In my opinion Grid + Clique is the best choice because it is a much more versatile package. Problem is though, that can almost be used instant after installing, Grid + Clique need some extra configging. When this is done however, you'll have much more benefits.
For Grid also some nice plug ins are offered, these can for instance help you a lot at certain raid encounters.

thank you very much. that helped a lot in making my choice^^

I'll have to try Grid-Clique... Healbot pretty much been the method I've stuck with.
Can the Grid-Clique combo use macro's and also decurse?

I have clique and I use grid. I used to use healbot, but found that it took up too much of the screen (AVs SUCKED with 40 boxes). Grid is very nice and easy to customize to your liking. As for the frames, I use Xperl, but turn off the 'raid' setting.

I am like Ansison. I always turn off the raid frames that come with my unit frames (like AG UF, Xperl) and use Clique+Grid.

Yeah.. I had XPerl Raid frames on.. I couldn't see anything on my screen and I have the UI set to 0.6 and screen resolution as high as possible.

This might sound crazy, but I use both. Healbot is as said a breeze to set up. I found Clique to be very easy to set up also, but Grid took me quite a while, It's very versatile because of the possibility of plugins, but you will be needing a few of them before it can offer the same functionality as healbot can by default. Grid is very basic by default. On the other hand, it can offer much more also, because of that great amount of plugins available. The way of setting Grid up seems quite unintuitive to me though, but that's just a matter of getting used to it. And once it's set up, it's set up.

My reason for switching between the two is the same as mentioned before. Healbot, even configured more compact, can still be big and messy in large raids/bg's. I prefer the small and clean frameset of grid there. The main reason I like to keep using healbot in smaller groups/raids is because it has the nice option to make an instant own list of heal targets, a seperate row with all pets, etc. This can probably be done by grid also (haven't found out yet though), but I usualy like to quickly configure my heal tool per "job", and the complexity of grid, and the thought of having to depend on more 3rd party plugins (of which you never know if and when they get updated) stopped me from looking into that.

Anyway, if I HAD to choose, I'd take healbot. Just because it's a quick and easy all in one setup and there is hardly anything Grid can add that I'd like except for the cleaner looks. Many would dissagree though :)

Just a self-plug here, and kudos to the original authors of whom I just updated their work: SmartRes. If most, if not all, people who can cast an out of combat resurrection-type spell (Pallies, Druids, Priests, Shamans) had it, you wouldn't be wasting extra time after a wipe ressing the same people. The link is in my signature.

Using x-perl and regarding the res thing my x-perl is always showing the resurrection status in the unitframe :)

Okay, one quick question, I'm just gettting going with a priest, and I have Clique and Grid, what I want is to be able to use Clique/Grid to heal and to dps. I 2box with both of my accounts, and I would like to be able to heal my warrior as well as being able to throw some DOTs and such on my warriors target. What I can't get to work is the target of my target frame to show up? Any ideas if clique/grid can do this or is this just a pipe dream. Thanks all

Pick up xperl for partyframes (turn off raid frames since you have grid)  it shows target of target and target of targets targget etc.... easy to configure too

Your TotoT frames will have to come from an actual UI mod, other than Grid. Grid, as far as I know, only shows Player and Player pets. Meaning you would need XPerl, Pitbull, or similar. Once you have that set up, with Clique, you can use the pull down menu to set helpful (you and your allies) or harmful (enemies, obviously) click-casts. You can even reuse the same combos.

For example, you could have Ctrl-left click to cast Flash heal on friendlies, and Ctrl-left click to cast Mind Blast on enemies.

I actually use Vuhdo. It's a lot like Healbot and Clique + Grid.

I've raided with all of the above and I prefer it the most. It's easy to adjust, can be set to decurse/clense/dispell if you so chose, the color scheme makes it easy to notice asap who's taking heavy damage and also lets you open other windows/panels. Ex: Tank panel. Only the tanks would be in that window, so it makes it easier to focus on MT/OT healing if thats what you're doing. Plus there are other cool features, like setting one or both trinkets to pop whenever their cooldowns are up. :)

Easy to customize, simple to adjust, very small add-on. Check it out sometime, I'm sure you'll love it.
