Downloading an addon is just like downloading any other file -- you click the button or link to download it, then save the file somewhere. If you're looking for instructions on installing addons, I'd suggest the stickied "HOW DO I INSTALL ADDONS" thread.

my addons are screwed up if you could help me, when ever i try the auto instill nothing happens, and i just uninstalled all my addons caus most of them had screwed up before, now i need help caus i haven't got quest helper or any thing.

This is what i do...
I dont use ACE the auto downloader...however i hear its great.
I click the link to DL (download)
I choose Save
It saves it to my "Download" folder (you can put it wherever you want)
The saved folder is Zipped. For my system (vista) all i do is open the zipped folder and inside are my files already unzipped for me...Drag all the files you see to your-
WoW/Interface/Addons folder and you are done.

(if you have an older operationg system you may have to extract your zipped files, but i think xp is like vista...your files are already unzipped for you in the zipped folder), just target the folder and R click and choose extract.. make a folder for it and when done just open that folder and drag to the WoW/Interface/Addons folder).

You wont screw up the addons folder, so dont be afraid to drag stuff to it.
