Looking for a mod that will display/notify you of the name of the person who casts a buff on you?

It is already displayed in combat log. Just turn correct filter on.

I believe SCT does something along those lines. "You gain mark of the wild rank III" etc. However I dont know if it tells you the person who casted it =\

Nope SCT does not tell you who cast it.

But if SCT, SCTD and Mik´s gets info from the normal combatlog and that dosent log who cast what on u then the before mentioned addons wont tell u either !!

Combat log does not log that event other than a "gain". You gain fort .. you gain mark of the wild. It does not record who.

I think however there might be a hidden way since Damage Meters used to be able to log who was dispeling/de-poisoning. There was a category where it tracked how many time XX or YY removed debuffs. I would think if it tracked a debuffer, it should track a buffer.
