i do apologize for being an idiot...because i have read over 60 comments and threads and a number of things about addons. i have went to youtube and i can only get to the part where you add the download to your addons folder. after that according to youtube and the stuff i read i should log on to wow and on the bottom left screen of the player menu i should see a box that says addons. well i put the addon,in this case helpquest, to the addons folder but when i log in i dont have a box....i am srry i know this question has been asked b4 and i have seen the box on youtube so i know it exist...i just dont know how to do it and i am a computer idiot...plz help any advice would be appreciated.

i also read that if i have .lua or .toc then i am doing something wrong...well i have .lua so did i unzip it incorrectly???

you are sure you put it in the correct map right? if you are unsure if you did everything right try the following.

Delete your addon folder. Yes delete.
Why? If there is no addon folder wow will make it again. When wow has done this place your mod in the folder. Also , if you are SURE your folder is not the problem check the addon again.
Are you sure your extracting the addon itself correct? Download it again if you have to.

If this all doesnt work , please ask me again so i can try and explain it further.

i am very positive that it is the right addon folder...the reason for that is that i did everything that i have seen on youtube on my brothers laptop and he was able to get quest helper and cartagrapher then i tried it again on mine and nothing happened the only difference between mine and my brothers is that he has internet explorer and i have mozilla firefox...that is it i put everything the same in both...and i did as u said to... i am srry for not getting this...

OMG I GOT IT :) I HAD TO DOWNLOAD WIN ACE OMG 12 HORRIBLE HOURS FOR THE ADDONS AND I FINALLY DID IT THNX ALOT Kve HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA :) :) :) :) :)
