After the patch my auctioneer program would not allow me to create auctions, I downloaded what is supposed to be there program for the new patch and now my scan button is gone and it no longer suggests starting and buyout prices.

I believe the auctioneer team is in the process of still updating auctioneer. The versions available right now are beta and can be a bit buggy. I'll make sure it's known when Auctioneer is updated properly. :)

Glad they are still working on it, I hate buying and selling without it!!

I found a way to post items in the AH. To get everything back to normal install Auctioneer 4.0.5 again. Then you should have all the tabs and buttons back. To post an auction until a fix comes out, you can do it under the Post Auctions tab instead of the normal Auctions tab.

Last night when I wasn't playing WoW my curse client kicked in and auctioneer was uploaded. Lets see if it's the update!
