I downloaded he curse client and i am a registered user.
I cannot download any add-ons. I click on "Download Using Curse Client" and nothing happens? Please Help.

I was just about to post the same exact thing. Extracting add ons in WoW was starting to get a little annoying so I decided to try the Curse Client. I've tried both buttons to install a particular package, and absolutely nothing happens. Doesn't show up in the package manager or anything. I'm logged into the Curse Client as well as the website. I'm running Windows XP Professional Edition SP2 with Opera 9.25. Please advise.

Ok finally got an error just as I tried to add an addon:

Error
Failed to connect to previous instance .

This has been happening to me ever since I updated the client package :(...is this getting fixed?

Don't bother, I installed it and it's completely destroyed my UI and addons. Installed titan panel and infobars and a shed of load of stuff I don't use!. Although there is a 'backup' option there is no way of restoring the previous set-up.

So what seemed like a quick and easy way of keeping things up to date is now going to cost me hours of time trying to put things back as they were.

It also installs older versions of addons you already have, if the older version is the latest on curse, thats what you get.

i really like this website, but it seems like the client has been having lots of problems lately, and you can find newer versions of most addons at other websites...haven't really seen much response to these issues from the Mods/Devs here.

so on a random reboot the curse client finally decided to activate ... installed Omen Threat Meters and I was really scared after reading this page - but I logged in and everything seems to be alright, Omen added and everything. I hope it doesn't mess up my UI, I'm really particular.

it's best to use if you don't already have a million addons, it tries to figure out what ones you have already and i can make mistakes and mess some stuff up. it happened to me.
i just deleted all of my addons and reinstalled them with the client and it works great

So did i. Faled to connect error 00000000

right click on the lil flame icon in your task bar and uncheck the autostart in the configuration thats what i did and it worked try it and if that doesn't work then i don't know worked for me lates

Hello. What worked for me was to manually close the curse client from the system tray after installing it. Then click on an install link in the curse web site to install an add-on and the curse client will open again. This time it will install the add-on and will work for additional add-ons afterward.

I am having difficulties trying to "unhide" quest helper. Everything is hidden.It will show up on my screen then fades to the right.Can you help me.
