I want the ability to anchor ALL of my tooltips to one spot. I've tried tipbuddy and tinytip, but they just anchor unit tips and other game tips. What I can't get to anchor are my item tooltips. When I mouse over items in my bags, the tooltip pops up right at the item, not at my anchor. What do I have to do to get my item tooltips and all other tooltips to anchor at the same spot?

I honestly have no idea how to go about doing this. I just have the vanilla tooltips (+Mobinfo/Informant) as it was one of the last parts of my UI I intended to fix. I am working on my mail and tooltips this weekend so if I find something that does what you are looking for I will let you know.

not really sure if you can change the hooks on item tooltip, never seen an tooltip addon with that option.

Neither have I but I figure if I run into a mod that does that I would make sure to post it here. I personally like the way it works now so...

I tried CT Mod but it doesn't move the tooltips for my items. There are two things that I don't like:
1. The tooltip popping up over my bags when I mouse over items in my bag, it blocks the view of other items in the bag.
2. The tooltip popping up right at the autobar item icons when I mouse over, where I have autobar located the tooltip covers my targetframe. (sure I could just move autobar or the target frame but I'd rather move the tooltip if it is at all possible)

So far those are the only tooltips I can't get to anchor at a specific point on the screen. I know its really picky, but I'm just anal about my interface. I like everything to be in a certain place and so far they are the only things out of place. Not a huge issue, but it would just appease that small part of me that has to have everything in order. Thanks for your help!

which actually disables all tooltips except for specifc conditions like when your not in combat or when you hold down a specific key. This might work, I have not tried it yet. My only concern is if it will actually disable the item tooltips since every other tooltip addon I've tried so far hasn't affected the item tooltips. I still would rather just have the ability to anchor then instead of removing them altogether.

It moves the default anchor of the GameTooltip of your Bank items, Inventory items, and Character frame items to where ever you moved the tooltip with MoveAnything (which is included).

Aqua Flare Tooltip Extreme will allow you to anchor any of the tooltips that you want. Be it player tooltips, spell tips, etc.

Thank you so much Nathanmx! At first I was very disappointed becuase it just anchored everything in the topright of the screen and didn't follow my gametooltip anchor I set with moveanything. But then I started playing around and I embeded my informant tooltip into the main tooltip and disabled the item link information from informant because it started wigging out when I embeded the tooltip info......and just like that everything fell into place! I was very excited. Now my WoWing experience can be enjoyed to its fullest, thank you so much!

just to update this thread cause I have had the same problem with bag tooltips since this darn game came out like 5 years ago. There are no mods out there at all that make BAG tooltips behave that I am aware of NONE.

The above "Bagtip" mod may do it but its a dead link saying its been removed by an administrator so we are all back to square one not a single damn mod in 5 years has EVER been able to make the stupid bag (inventory or bank) tooltips GO TO THE ANCHOR POINT!!!! >.<

Have you tried Cowtip?

Long shot here, but in the default UI, what is your setting for open loot window at mouse? If you change that, does it help?

ToolTipWranger, even though it has not been updated since October 2008, appears to work.
