\Interface\Addons is what you're looking for... the "location of wow installation" may differ depending on the person that installed (for example, I never install games into their default location)..
Most likely yours is:
C:\Program Files\World of Warcraft\Interface\Addon

do a search for wow.exe, it will find where ur wow folders are located and the interface/addons folder should be in the same folder as the wow.exe file

Browse through using WINDOWS explorer... where you see all your actual folder directories... You won't find it off the start menu.

You have to create the folder Interface/Addons in your World ofWarCraft folder. It doesn't come with the installation. It's user derfined cause the mods are generally made by players.

One more thing. If you have the WOW icon on your desktop right click it there should be a popup with a few options. One of them should be Open File Location. Select that and it will open the WorldofWarcraft folder.

1. In Windows:
Start | Run | "Explorer C:\Program Files\World of Warcraft\Interface"
(dont type the quotes)
2. If you do _not_ see the AddOns folder:
Right-click Explorer's right window pane | New | Folder | "Addons"
(dont type the quotes)
3. To verify 2 in Windows:
Start | Run | "Explorer C:\Program Files\World of Warcraft\Interface\AddOns"
(dont type the quotes)

How is this user defined?? So you are saying the 15 addon folders that start with Blizzard_ I created myself? The Interface\AddOns structure is created upon installation and enterring the game.. Given, it might not exist until you launch the game, but it is in no way a "user created" folder.
