Need help installing WoW add-ons using the Curse Client

I'm trying to install the QuestHelper using the Curse Client but it keeps giving me error 00000000 and I don't know what I'm doing wrong. WoW is closed and using the Curse Client used to work on my old computer running XP. But now I'm using Vista, is that the problem? Thanks for your help in advance.

I understand that u are using the curse client for simplicity. I myself find it just easiest to download then extract mod from the downloaded file. Then all you do is cut the extracted files and then paste them into where they go. Now if you don't know where that is the standard install goes to c:\program files\World of Warcraft\Interface\AddOns.

I did find a answer in the FAQ that state's how to resolve this as well copy the following website address into your address bar. http://forums.curse.com/details/26607/

If that doesn't work i found the answer by using google and searching the following: Curse Client + "error 00000000"

I have Vista, Had the same problem, but I found the solution.

Exit Curse Client

Click "Install via Curse Client" on an AddOn you wish to install

Curse Client will start automatically and will ask you if you really want to install the AddOn. From there on everything works!

Hope this helped

i have XP fully updated, and although curse client seems to up date most of my addon just fine, it doest even show the .47 quest helper, never has, and I can NEVER get curse client to download new addons at all. I've always had to do it manually, and today the new .48 QH wont download at all (I'm thinking that the servers are swamped with 9 million people trying to fix QH from the last patch). I am using Mozilla firefox, could that be why the curse downloader option doesnt work?

Your problem is very simple, when you unzipped the file, you got the folder, and a folder in that folder.  You don't need the outside folder, just copy/cut the folder named "Questhelper" from inside.

"D:\Program Files\World of Warcraft\Interface\AddOns\QuestHelper-0.60\QuestHelper"

Is probably similar to what you have, get it out of the bold one.
