Users of this addon would be able to remotely inspect each other.
Let there be two copies of the addon One and Two installed on A and B's clients.
One would somehow determine that B has this addon installed (addon message/whisper?).
One sends a inspect request to Two, probably by whisper.
Two responds with a string of item ID's matching with the gear that B has equipped, as well as stat information and a talent string, class, and any other useful information (guild, pvp stuff, etc).
One reconstructs B's character pane (only the character and pvp tab, reputation and skills are useless) with the given information, including an extra tab that shows a talent tree for B.
If B was extremely paranoid, a option to prevent talent information from being transmitted could be implemented.
For this to work, a suitable means of determining if player X has the addon installed is needed.
Perhaps a global channel can be used, but would take up a chat channel.
If a chat channel is used, then a search function could be made to search everyone who exists for a person with, say, bonus spell damage > 900, [Zomg Legendary Item], more than 41 points spent in the Fire tree, etc
This could all be put in a simple ui with one box to attempt to inspect by name and a search pane
I would like to make this but I do not have the experience or time to do it alone. I cannot do xml. I will most definately need someone who can make a character frame and talent tree frames, if that cannot be copied from blizzards original version.
