I have been searching for about a week now, but don't know if it's that I havent had any luck, or just blind when it comes to looking at things.

Are there any known/easy to configure addons, that allow the movement of the chat box and combat log?

You can unlock the chatboxes by rightclicking on the tab and choose unlock if thats what you're after.
