I recall I once saw an addon where I could set the size of the 3D portion of the screen and use the rest of the screen for chatframes, actionbars etc.

Say I want to run the game in 1600x1200 pixels (4:3) fullscreen resolution but I only want the 3D portion of the game to use 1600x900 pixels (16:9). That leaves me 1600x300 pixels where I can put chatframes, actionbars etc in the free space around the 3D portion.

The way I have it now my chatframes etc are semitransparent ABOVE the 3D, covering most of the bottom part almost all the way up to my characters feet which make it hard to see whats going on around the character.

Do you know if there is any up-to-date addon that can do this?

I think you're looking for CT_Viewport.

It allows you to set the portion of your screen that is rendered.

CT Viewport is a good one and I believe was the first one people knew about. You can also use Skinner from wowace.com to do the same thing. I think CTViewport is a little easier to use though.

I dont mean to take this in a different direction but how do you set your pixels differently, I mean I downloaded this one AddOn pack for healing and I couldn't even see my charecter the screen was so packed with AddOns because the game didn't have enough space.
