hi, i just installed the quest helper addon with cartogroper but i keep getting this error: interface/addons/cartographer/cartographer.lua:908 attempt to index field 'pois' (a nil value). what does this mean and how do i fix it?

weird i have both the addons with the latest version of each and don't get that error try reinstalling them or maybe deleting the old lua files

if that doesn't work put in a ticket with the entire log on quest helper and maybe the staff there can assist you, i'm guessing it's another addon you have conflicting with one of the two

POI=point of interest. It means cartographer was having problems with the little flags on maps where it says things like a boss is here or a rare spawns there. Something like that.

from what i've read, quest helper is in more of a beta phase than a release phase, and is still being tweaked/filled in...if reinstalling the current versions doesn't work, delete questhelper until a new version comes out...also i second what nyxtyr said about submitting bug reports to the addon developer, as he/she/they will understand it better than random forum junkies on this website (like me).

I'm having the same problem Corcky. I've had to disable the addon in order to play since the message pops up continually.
I'm unwilling to uninstall it since it's really helpful when it is working correctly. I hope to find a way to diable this message
if nothing else.

try to contact the cartographer developer(s) and let them know about the bug you're experiencing...copy/paste the error messages for them....that is probably the best way to eliminate these errors from future versions of the addon.

PLEASE HELP!!! I just downloaded Quest Helper via Curse Client, but it downt display any type of "help" for quests, when i log in, in my chat log appears messages like " !!! QuestHelper_IndexLookup entry needs update: ={29.2 23.15}" DUNNO WHAT TO DO!! I really want tu use this amazing addOn, so please someone help me!!!

a couple suggestions:

- post your question in a new thread...your error message doesn't have anything to do with the OP's error message as far as i can tell

- post your question in a place where the developer of the addon is more likely to see it (i.e. the developer's webpage, or in the comments section of the addon listing)

- this is more general advice, but in my experience, there are lots of addons posted here that are either not posted by the actual author, or posted less frequently here than other places. for your favorite addons, make sure you track down the place where the actual author posts his addon most frequently/regularly. it might just be that you have inadvertently downloaded an outdated version of the addon.

hi mine says that field is at 'randomseed' When i type in /qh error. Please explane to me what i have to do to get my QH back. Thx Allidoismage :)
