I've reported this before. I'll do it again as nothing much has been done about it.

Well I'm still trying to use this website. But for the life of me I don't understand why you guys went so nuts with the AJAX interface. This interface literally brings a PC to it's knees over time.

Because of the volume of AJAX used on this site it has bascially become unusable.

Why do I even bother telling you this? Well simply this used to be one of my favorite WoW sites. I quite literally went here for all my WoW needs. Now I'm forced to get my information from many other sites. It's not because of the lack of content. It's because of this interface. IT'S TO SLOW. It's not because of the size of the pages. It's the overload of javascript/dynamic content/CSS. I can't leave the site up in a browser and minimize it and play wow at the same time. That is the kiss of death for me in game. Too many lost frames/sec.

I gotta say thank you for toning down the graphics. The first versions of the new site were PAINFUL on the eyeballs. Still needs more work however. But it's getting there. The number of fonts used also needs to be cut down. The more fonts you use the more the browser has to work figuring out distances etc in all the div's. With all the dynamic content on the pages this can add up FAST.

I beg you to take the feature/toy axe to a good portion of the site. A lot of what is done is being done purely cause it's cool and it adds no real value.

Slow?

I can open all new forum ports in tabs and have them all loaded in like 2 sec. The main page loads in like 0.1 sec and the websites AJAX isn't using any more cpu than others sites as far as I can tell

i agree wit limdul it is not slow at all....

I also get instant times, both from Germany and mid-US

its slow for me too =\ but then again so is thottbot. The only 2 websites that are slow for me. Its not my internet, My speeds are 10meg down, 1 meg up. :(

I hardly have problems aswell , and i've used several different PCs and connections to go to Curse

Ive noticed this too, Im using Firefox and it seems to be the Flash content that cause the slowness for me. Every time i see that LotR Flash Animation i have to right click and change the quality to Low then it is a lot more usuable.

Definitely not slow at all. Very fast.

Its probably just your computer speed. It may be a little low.

It's been much, much faster recently. There are times when it's slow(during WoW server maintenance/patches, etc. - which occurs almost everywhere I might add :P), but overall the performance of the site has been top-notch for me as an end-user for the past two months or so.

I havn't noticed to much of a change , but then again it was always pretty fast for me
