Also none of the links work correctly for instance if you do a search for a compilation and click the arrow and select compilations the search takes you too the addon page. If you see the top five user compilations and click the more button it also take you too the addon page. When user compilation had been prominately listed it no longer is and it just isnt working correctly. Basically if you arent listed in the top five you will be lucky to get any hits. Has Curse decided that User compilations are no longer important ?

Well, unlike you guys, I never really much payed a lot of attention but I love this layout. I hardly used this site but when I did, it was hard finding a good addon. There were times when I would click on a category of addons and theyd have well over 100 in there and only one or two showed up.
Great job, coming from a man who hasnt fallen in love with the old layout

Seriously, I'm OK with the new layout, but PUT GUILD/PERSONAL PACKAGES in a SEPERATE part of the website PLEASE!! Or at least give us an option to hide them. Because honestly think about how many people actually NEED that 1 pack? - maybe 40 people max. out of the other quite literally millions of viewers you have. None of us care about some guild package on a realm we aren't even on. It clutters the data that your main users want to find.
And for layout purposes, move "Highest Rated Addons" from the right side of the screen, to the left. And the advertisement that is up there, leave it, but allow all the middle content to wrap around it further down the page. I'll edit this and provide a screenshot of what I'm talking about in a few.
Check out the mock-up I've provided: http://bayimg.com/jaJdjAAbc
Not only does this make things flow better, but allows you to extend some of your sections, makes it easier to read/find items, but also just generally makes things less scrunched. A general rule of thumb is 60% of your width should be your main-content in a 3 column layout minimum. You guys have closer to 30% and it makes it look amateur.

Hi ThantiK,
Thank you for the feedback. While your suggestion is a very good idea, we've reserved a portion of that space for AddOn Reviews once we get that feature rolling, as well.
In regards to Guild/User Packages, we're looking into changing how/where they're viewed to best give them representation, while also limiting their effect on the "AddOns" section.
Curse is one of the only AddOn hosting websites that supports compilations, and we don't really plan to change that, but we do understand that a compilation isn't something desirable to see while browsing the AddOn Homepage or its sub-pages.

To those who were upset about the Recently Updated addons - how do you feel about it now? We've added separate links for new and updated addons, and they now show the date of the last update. The Recently Updated filter page should be much more functional now.
As for compilations, somehow they snuck back into those lists. They are being removed now.

Hm... go to updated -- look at the first page -- great, sorted in dateorder -- click page 2... now you are nolonger on updated, but on all addons, not sorted...
When you get it to work also for page 2 and onward, I will be satisfied :)

Omg, this layout is complicated. Bring back the simplified layout back please. I can't even see the new updates or new mods. Why would u change the layout when it was perfect before? All i want to see each day is new updates, and new mods thats been added, and you cant even sort them so just the game version u want shows and the older ones don't. Very disapointed with this layout. Please change it back.

When i click on updated and finish viewing the first page of updated mods for that category, i click next and all the dates are muddled up again. Bring back the old view, or atleast let us be able to sort them by clicking on either, Updated, Rating, Name etc if u get what i mean. Its just too squashed and you can't view many at a time. I only want to see updated or new addons, not the others, Just the game version 2.3 addons and up. Its simple and quick and easy to view without all the other older addons spamming the page.

Josaline: Thanks for pointing this out -- that's definitely not the intended functionality for the new/updated pages. It should remain consistent regardless of the page you're on inside of that section.
The old view won't be coming back, but we will be fixing this one to actually have the old one's functionality.
Veliplo: What game versions are you interested in seeing? This is a bit clunky right now, but until we get those links added back in somewhere, here's a quick link to a few of the latest WoW versions:

Thank you for quickly modifying the new and updated sidebar and associated "more"buttons. The addition of a modified date is great. I still don't understand why the items on the list in the sidebar aren't the same as the first items shown in the main column (when you click "more"), but then there are a lot of things I don't understand.

jffyt: This is unfortunately a side effect of compilations displaying in the "Addon" section. We're trying to figure out the best way to balance the fact that many users don't want to see those, but at the same time continue to give the same support to compilations that Curse always has given.
It's a really tricky balance to meet, and we'll obviously make sure the content on a section stays consistent, so it'll likely be that we remove compilations from that list, but give them representation somewhere on the main page.

I rest my case! Glad to see many of you agree with me. :-) I just like to browse updated stuff. With the previous layout I checked once a day to see what new updates there were and what UI's might be interesting. I don't wanna browse all seperate categories, I just want a one shot view of what's new!
I am a hunter, I like one shots! :P

WOW - I have to say guys, AMAZING work! - I love that the guild package compilations have been removed from the recently updated/new addons list - I can get to the data I've been looking for now!!
And as much as I disliked having them in recently updated/new addons, I agree with Jethrow - there should be a link placed somewhere (on the page) to allow guild compilations/personal compilations to be easily accessible. (A personal suggestion is to maybe put it in the "Addons Categories" section.) Unless I'm missing something here? - I did a quick (3 min >_>) browse of the addons front page and don't seem to be able to find a link to them.
Tthe changes to the layout of some of the sub-sections (on the left and right) definitely make it feel cleaner. There seem to be a few guild packages that have been mislabeled as "other", and so forth, but they're few and far between - I can definitely handle that.
The new layout is coming along nicely, I love that you guys have been listening to those voicing their opinion about usability and accessibility!

Thanks for the links. Its much easier with them to see the new/updated addons without having older addons showing. I'll be looking forward for those links showing back on the page though for easier viewing off new/updated addons.
I must say though, you guys put up with a lot of criticism but you listen and sort it out swiftly. My compliments!

Good thing for edit because i thought it was the same broken functionality and all but then i went to look at it and noticed it works much better now.
Something that i noticed is that if im in a category like "2.4 addons" and i click on the column to sort it for which one was updated recent it takes me out of the category of 2.4 and into "most recent updated" category (or whatever its called) instead of leaving me in 2.4 addons category and sorting it.
