I have been having really low FPS since some patch and now I cannot fix it. I have tried disabling all addons, changing all my video settings to the lowest doesnt do anything, updated all my drivers. I get around 4 FPS in shat and my average anywhere is 19-25 FPS.
Windows Vista 32-bit AMD Athlon 64 X2 Dual Core Processor 5000+(2 CPU's), ~2.6GHz 3 GB of RAM Direct X10 ( tired doing x9 but nothing changed ) Nvidia GeForce 8800 GT (256MB GDD R3) Creative Sound Blaster Audigy 4
My computer can well handle WoW at its max. I have tried ending processes such as virus scanner, windows defender and other things but that didn't change anything a bit. Please help
thanks

Theres your problem. They call it Vista ^^
Try running repair.exe and tick everything and click reset and check files.
That may solve your problem.

My brother has a vista and he runs at 60 FPS all the time! His computer as well isnt as good as mine, which doesn't make sense.
What repair.exe? What tick? Reset what? Check which files?

You might also want to update to the very latest Nvidia drivers, www.nvidia.com. Also ensure you regulary defrag your harddrives, since that might be one of the major causes.

Had the same Problem, turned out it was because I was running with Vista (64bit) in windowed mode. Don't ask me why or how, but in windowed mode I run at that problem low FPS, but in Full screen im rock'n 60FPS all the time... whatever

No the problem was not fixed it stayed the same. As for my drivers I updated all my drivers. BIOS, Sound, video etc. I usually am in windowed mode but in full view it just a tad higher but not a big difference. I am running 32 bit windows vista

I heard that somtimes disabling your sound card is the solution but for me it made no difference. It just doesn't make sense how this could happen.

I have been having the exact same problem, my system specs are pretty much the exact same as yours, except i have xp instead of vista. I was pretty much always running 75 fps until i downloaded the curse client. I uninstalled curse and it is running just as good as it was before curse. Any way to fix it?

I run on average 11 frps lol my computer is older than time though i have an 8mg braod band connection too, you could try running anti spyware programs to see if your bogged down with any they crunch your bandwidth, spybot s&e is a good free program and it works really well, its updated regulaly but you do have to search for these things to find them, make sure you have a good firewall too and not windows firewall, curse has made no difference to my frps it has not gone down but as i said my computer is old and in need of recycling, look for adware and spyware mate it is probably your problem.
