Hey there,

This have been forwarded to our developers. Stay tuned.

This should have been looked at before this new version of the site was released.. *ALL* the links on the sites that relate to groups of addons or whatever are sending me to the list of *ALL* the addons you are hosting from the server.

Please fix it quick. its really annoying having to update my links in my bookmarks each time you change the site, and even then the links don't work for weeks.

PLease fix it. and 2nd.

You should break down some of the categories a little more.

you have the option for class addons but you don't give us the option to break it down to certain classes. kind of annoying.. I'm not sure how it is now because all the links seem to send me to all the addons. and this isn't just firefox. I've cleared the cache, I've loaded the site in IE/Opera/Maxthon/Firefox and all the browsers seem to have the same issue going on.

You also need to bring back the date as another form to recognize when something was updated.. and maybe putting a time as well

01/31/2008 2:32PM

maybe something like that.

The Recent Updates link does indeed appear to be bugged. However, there are definitely class-specific categories. The icons on the main page link you to each class category.

Report this thread post

well I see that, but the most important thing will need to be recent updated mods.. thanks, hurry and get on that =D I'm frustrated trying to search through all the mods to see if they've been updated.

Dates on the list would be really nice as well

Thanks for the new look. Although...

While not being as childish as Roadspill, I, too would very much like to see the "Recently Updated" mods page back. That is what I use 99% of the time.

We're going to be making the following changes to the homepage:

  • Renaming "Recently Updated AddOns" to "New and Updated AddOns"
    • Adding two new links at the bottom of the "New and Updated AddOns" module:
      • "See more New AddOns"
      • "See more Updated AddOns"

  • Changing the displayed data on "New and Updated AddOns" and "Your Favorites Updates" to show the date it was last updated, rather than download count
  • Changing the help text on "New and Updated AddOns" from "Average downloads per day" to "Date of last update"

Thanks for the update. Keep up the good website work.

Without being able to see a list of recently updated addons as this site has had forever until recently--and all other major mod sites have--this site becomes next to useless for myself and many others who use & test mods. Thus will be using other mod sites & avoiding this one until the stated changes come into effect.

As to those changes...why the heck are you adding "new" addons to the "updated" list? Those are two different things. It becomes unnecessarily difficult to scout out the mods that have been around a while vs. those that have just been released. I really (really) hope the "See more Updated Addons" link shows _every_ single updated one in user-selectable date order, not just a sub set of the combined lists.

Report this thread post

If you click "See more Updated AddOns" it will only show those updated, not new ones. The exact opposite goes for clicking on "See more New AddOns."

This site is useless now. you add some of my suggestions but yet you dont even pay attention to what we want.

For one, you added dates, but yet you don't allow us to sort it, 2nd the site horrible, I don't even know what the focus is for the WOW site.

Please fix the site ASAP as I haven't been able to update my mods since this latest change to your site.

I'm very displeased with the changes..

I like the last guys response.

I really don't want to have to click two links to see new addons. Every other site combines new and updated addons togethor. irregardless to your beliefs even if the mod is new the site was updated. so your logic is completely backwards.

Report this thread post

Your links are still broken.

I click on Recent updated, and then I go to click on pg 1 2 3 4 and they send me to some other category.

When I click on new and click on the links it sends me to random pages.

Man you guys really screwed up with this recent site change.. you might want to revert back slightly to something that worked.

Yes, updated downloads are back, finally.

But the usability has really regressed. In order to get to the updated ones, it requires a minimum of three link clicks and three page loads. Takes three times as long.

Whereas before, could get to them in a single click, now:
1) Click "Downloads" on the top (orange) bar.
2)Then click "Addons" in the Categories section
3) Finally, once that page loads, scroll down a bit and click the tiny "see updated" button on the left side of the page in the "New & updated" section.
or (even more hassle)
1) Click "Downloads" on the top (orange) bar, as above
2) Then click the tiny "more" button beside the "New Downloads" button on the left of the page (not exactly obvious)
3) Then again, scroll down a bit and click the tiny "see updated" button on the left side of the page in the "New & updated" section.

As well, unlike before when every page with a mod on it had an "Updated" section on the right side of the page where you could head right to the updated mod section without a problem, now they do not. Only a "New Downloads" section on the right side of the page, which means you have go through one of the above convoluted processes again. Yes, the browser Back button works, but it doesn't work if you have bookmarked favorite mod pages. Thus making it hard to avoid having to perform one of the convoluted processes described above to get to the updated downloads.

You really need to bring back "Recently Updated Downloads" as its own section on the side of each page as this site used to have. If there is a lack of page room for it, get rid of the rather useless "Movers & Shakers" section and/or put that section someplace else.

As well add a "see updated" button (as what some areas now have as described above) to the "New Addons" section that appears on every mod page in order to access updated addons like you used to be able to here. Or add the updated addons in their own section of the page, as above.

------------------

EDIT: tested it a bit more and was even more unimpressed. The updated downloads section (once you get to it) is only partially done and not done very well.

Click the tiny "see updated" button, you get a list of 20 addons that have been updated in the last day or so. The footer & header of the section contains "211 pages" currently along with number links and a "Next>" button. Click "2" or "Next>" and you might think you are getting to the next updated ones in chronological order. But no.

What happens when you click "2" or "Next>" is that it switches to a "Most Downloaded" category for some odd reason. Click any other number and you remain in the Most Downloaded section.

Highly illogical; this needs to be changed ASAP. As in when you click "Next>" or a page number, you actually get to more updated downloads, not any other variety.

Although you have changed more crap on the site, its still not very functional. Please fix it.
