Hands up if you think Blizzard should introduce some new emotes ?

I think that adding in more Emotes would be.. a change.. like what would they add? /wrist? /ankle?

Mmm, perhaps this is just a joke thread - I'm not sure Mikentosh has quite understood the joke at the end though ;)

But I am pretty tired of the same old emotes - even if they don't add new ones, it might be nice if they refreshed some of the current ones.

Creating your own Emotes would be cool, but I suspect impossible, as you couldn't really animate your Toon, and other people seeing the emote wouldn't have the same sound files....
I guess someone could create an Emote editor AddOn, but only other people with the AddOn would benefit from its effects.

Speaking as someone who is proud to be gay and likes to Role Play a gay Paladin, I'd love to celebrate victories in BGs with

I think they actually are working on adding in emotes that players have submitted. I'd have to do some searching but I recall it being a topic recently that a Blizzard CM replied to.

Well, if you just want to make your own emotes pop up (without any animation or sound though :/) you can ofc type /e in the chat^^

ex. "/e pokes a finger in %t's eye" 

will be

"Sayanora pokes a finger in Stormwind City Guard's eye" (%t = the name of the

 player/NPC currently targeted)

The "commands" to put in the emote are (the ones I know, of course there could be many others too):

• %s - the name of the character sending the emote
  
• %t - the name of the current target
  

The cool thing about this is you can use it to impress the noobs ^^ to do this, just use the /e, and then type "says: " (if you wanna do it a bit more fancy, you could type "says [orcish]:" or something like that just to impress^^)

Well, that didn't work. Blizz were one step ahead of ya on that one mate - any /me (/e) commands just come up as "makes some strange gestures" to the opposite faction.

Roleplaying a gay paladin? Damn, you must struggle with that with all their manly tier sets and all... /sarcasm.

If you attended the dark portal just before TBC came out you should have a tabard from the quest there - I found that makes for a great victory pose just before I return a flag B)
