Been hacked

Hello, I"m Kdaj of Bloodscalp-eu.

I started playing WoW again about a week ago and decided to raid again so I found a guild and with that I also downloaded the latest addons for 2.4 to raid such as ct_raid, DBM, omen, titan panel and swstats. I installed them yesterday and also experienced alot of lag, like 200-300 latency and I normaly have 60-80 latency.
I wanted to log in this morning and I coudln't, I talked to a ingame friend on msn and he told me I was online at the time. Clearly been hacked there :/. Anyway, I have never botted or bought gold, since I have put a lot of time into the account and I don't want to risk getting it banned (would be 2 years+ wasted). So I don't know how the person could have possibly gotten my account info since I keep it to myself only. Some people say it might one of the addons that contained a keylogging system, so hereby I'd like to warn people about this. Maybe some others that have/had the same problem. I'm not blaming the site, just a warning, maybe if it was an addon that it could be removed.

Greetings, imkadaj.

First of all, i would clrealy recomend you to get a VIrus scanner.
Im using F-Secure myself, but there is free one's to, which you can see under all my text.
Now, ct_raid, DBM, omen, titan panel or swstats does not contains keylogger, you have fallen for something else, im afraid. If you have been hacked, visit www.wow-europe.com or www.worldofwarcraft.com and send a mail to Blizzard.

You are safe on Curse, imkadaj, and happy WoW playing!

i have also been hacked from add-ons from this site, it is true you have malicious add-ons here, not all the time but there are some, he posted this april 6 2008, im posting this april 9, i got got hacked this morning while im not online they even changed my ventrilo info -_- so i really recommend to create an add-on that scans for some trojans or *** like that cuz this is not the first time it has happen, and its always from this site i use it cuz its safe for some add-ons but its not 100%, im not blaming the site but it would be better if you can do something about ppl doing this, cuz whats the point on doing, or getting to a point in game if its gonna be gone in 5 mins, and i have the AVG system anti-virus.
...that is all.

Hi there,

We already virus scan every single file. There's no known malicious files on our site. If you feel there is, though, report them and we will look into it. Meanwhile, I'm afraid that your computer got compromised in some other way and that you should proceed with caution with who you share your logins with and what files you download and where, also, what sites you visit.

At Curse we are very careful with matters such as this and we always check every single file on our site. Normal addons cannot contain malicious code that would hack your computer, it just isn't possible-- only .exe files can. If you've downloaded any .exe files recently, that's where you want to start to look. .exe files on Curse.com go through manual approval every single time, so it's not possible you got it from here.

Good luck on increasing your computer's security. I suggest getting Kaspersky Anti-virus, http://www.kaspersky.com.

Also, you can try http://www.virustotal.com/

I would also suggest ZoneAlarm. It will catch a malicious program trying to connect to the internet.
