Sorry if this has been answered already but as always I want to support Curse and was wondering where I could pick up premium membership. Any answers would be appreciated. Thanks in advance!

Hi Talonious,

We'll have more details related to Premium soon, so please stay tuned.  In the meantime, we've activated the Premium Preview for everyone who uses the Curse Client so that you can get an idea of what Premium offers for the client as of now.

We'll also have more information soon about future features for the client as well as the website.  We're pretty excited about a few of them, so we can't wait to share more details.

just curious if anything has happened with this yet.  I recently installed the curse client & it stated that the free preview is till 10-6 which has already past. I've searched the site pretty much and can't find anything.  Any help would be great.

Premium is coming very soon.  In the meantime we've extended the preview until it's closer to being ready.  :)

So I can't sign up for premium, and I have to manully update each addon with the client? What do I need the client for? Can't I just manually update on my own?

According to your Help:

Check for Updates – Manually checks to see if your list of addons is up to date. Addons that are out of date will be marked with a visual marker. You can then sleect it and click the Update Addons button.

  • Premium users will have their out of date addons updated automatically

This does not work

Looking forward to it as well. I just hope premium access extends to the site... specifically, I'll pay to see your site with NO ADS... and for a client that is actually usable.

Premium will indeed extend to the website as well, with ad-free browsing not just on Curse.com, but any site that uses the CurseID (WOWDB, WarDB, Conan Armory, and more as we get them integrated into the CurseID system).

I had my doubts about it. I toook a long deep breath, thought it over carefully and decided not to have a go with wowmatrix and I'll become a Premium member. I still have thoughts of my own on the subject and I don't realy agree 100% with the reason why ppl should pay (except for server load, etc which I do understand)

Count me in when it's being released !!

I just hope ther'es something more than automatic updates and ad free browsing. I use firefox with adbock plus, and no script, so I already dont' see your ads. ANd automatic updates  for my mods costing money? No thank you, I'll manually press the update button.
