Hi Des2,
You can find a guide over on TheWarWiki: How to install addons
Alternatively, if you're interested in the Curse Client, it will install the addons for you automatically. You can find out more about it on the Curse Client page.
I hope this helps!

unfortunately i dont have that specific sequence of a path to an interface folder.
mine is as follows
<warhammer>/user/interface/allcharacters
there is no addons folder anywhere. Is there a diference between the folder maps for XP and vista?
in either case what do i assign as the folder to DL addons into?

If you haven't yet installed any add-ons, the necessary interface directory does not exist. The correct path to install add-ons is:
<warhammer>/interface/addons
Just like WoW. :)

I'm beginning to think that this is a Vista issue.
I am having the same problems. I've tried all of the suggestions above and none of them are working.
I used the Curse Client regularly with WoW but there appears to be a Warhammer/Vista issue with the folders.
Anyone using Vista had any luck with this?

It's not a Vista issue, I have Vista and it works fine.
1- Create a folder named "Interface" (w/o quotes) in your Warhammer installation directory.
2- Create a folder named "AddOns" (w/o quotes) inside the new "Interface" directory created in point 1.
3- If you have downloaded addons to install manually, unzip each addons inside the new "Addons" directory created in point 2.
4- Run the Curse client and let it do it's magic.
Basically, if you are looking inside the "zMailMod" addon, you should look inside the directory : "Warhammer installation directory"\Interface\AddOns\zMailMod\
Msmith, Prot Warrior...or Fury... I tend to respec. Y'know...

I can install via curse client for exmaple ClosetGoblin but i cant install zMailMod... What can i do?

Yes, create the Interface folder with Addons folder inside of that

I run Vista. I could not manually install the addons I wanted to last night. After about a half hour of creating new folders and trying to figure out the path, I gave up. Yes, I played WoW. Yes, I was able to easily install addons there.
At approximately 1215EST I will be attempting to use the curseclient to install both libslash and planb. I'll update everyone immediately after.
Regardless, the "how-to" guides don't work. Someone needs to write one from the ground up, as if the person using it has never installed an addon. Doing so would be good for not only the addon creator, but curse itself. If someone comes here for the first time and fails to initiate their desired addon, you could permanently discourage them from the addon scene.

This worked perfectly. Ignore other guides, this is all you have to do.
They sure don't make it easy when they say you need to put things in the interface folder. "No, not THAT interface folder, the other one. That you have to make."

I am using Vista and don't have any problems with the client installing WAR addons. What happens when you install a WAR addon? Did you try searching for the folder? Also, are you logged in to windows as an administrator?

Pro Tip #38: Make sure you've got the Curse Client running as Administrator otherwise it doesn't have the permissions to create directories and you get errors.
Also, the WAR install folder depends on your version of Vista and how you told it to install in the first place. E.g. Mine's c:\Program Files\Electronic Arts\Warhammer Online - Age of Reckoning\ and the folders were not present, so I had to create them.

Addon problem here...
I just installed a whole bunch of addons into my Addon folder in my
WAR directory, as instructed. I have LibSlash installed etc. However,
when I enter the game, none of the addons are working.
I should mention that I'm using a patched beta client from preview
weekend and I never erased it to reinstall using the WAR c.d.'s. Could
this be the problem? Do addons not work with the beta client? If this
isn't the problem, can anyone think of what might be? Also, I am using windows xp 64, not vista, and I'm not using the Curse Client, I'm doing a manual download and install. Any help is appreciated.
Edit: O.k. someone mentioned that you have to create a new Interface folder in the WAR directory. However, these reports have come from Vista users. I'm not a Vista user and I have an Interface folder inside of a user folder inside of the WAR directory folder. Is this the incorrect Interface folder? Should I create a new Interface folder and not use the one inside the "user" folder?

I'm using Vista and used the Curse client to install several add-ons. When I start WAR, a pop-up appears in the lower right saying the WARis running but in the game, I don't see the add-ons at work. Do I need to *turn them on* within WAR or so something else?

for those who are haveing probs with curse client installing addons to wrong folder you need to make the interface/addons folders should be
Warhammer/interface/addons, if you went looking for an interface folder elsewhere you messed up and the client messes up too for some reason

One thing to remember the BETA client from Fileplanet has a different default install than the retail disc. Fileplanets install directory is wherever you have Fileplanet downloads save.
Also Unless they updated the Curse Client it is looking for the addon folder where the BETA client used and not the retail default. Double check the Curse Client download directory setting to make sure it is being directed corectly.
As everyone said ... goto your WAR install directory. There should be a bunch of files and folders there. (EX Folders in the main WAR directory are "Miles" "Notes" "Patcher")
Create a interface directory
Opent the interface directory.
Create a addons directory.
Unzip files from the files downloaded from here to that directory. (Simple way is to save ZIP feom Curse to desktop. Open zip on desktop. Open your WAR addons folder. DRAG addon folder from zip file to your WAR addon folder.)
