With the patch, Trinity 2.0 has been coming up with a lot of errors. Sources say the author has little intention of updating Trinity, and is instead working on the replacement project, Macaroon. Macaroon is in Beta stages and does not appear to be hosted on Curse at this time; the only host I can find links to is wowinterface.com, which is currently having file caching issues and so won't let non-registered users download the file! The file caching issues seem to be hitting their registration pages as well, so I'm facing a brick wall right now.
I'd really rather not switch to a new UI mod given how extensively I had macroed, stance-dependencied, and arranged my action bars, and Macaroon supposedly has an importer to copy over settings from Trinity 2.0. So, here's my question...
Does anyone have a reliable link to Macaroon that isn't on wowinterface.com?

Looks like WoW will be unplayable for us Trinity users until curse or someone else hosts Macaroon.

I got it to go vertical by changing the columns to 1 instead of 12 (the number of buttons I use), but I cannot get it to move all the way to the right...I am thinking maybe the x and y axis functions would do it...but still trying to download the latest and greatest ^^

Macaroon is nonsense!!! Why did you make it all mouse wheel based to set up? One of the most unuser friendly mods I have seen. Where have the button shapes gone? What was a good mod is now hell to set up!

While i admit that using mousewheel for all the input is a bit weird, i like macaroon. It does feel like Trinity 3.0 and I liked Trinity. It lest you do anything you want. Sure it therefore requires a bit more work on your part to setup the first time. But after that you can do anythign and everything you could possibly want with bars.
A great example is creating a pet bar. Most bar mods just have a setting to have a pet bar. Turn it on. Turn it off. Move it.
Macaroon doesn't. To make a pet bar you create a bar. Give it 10 buttons. Set it to be of type 'Pet'. Toggle it into 'With Pet' mode. Then go into Button editing and change the buttons to be PetID:1 to PetID:10. Toggle it into 'No Pet' mode and set it to hide. Now you have a pet bar that behaves like every other bar mod. Some people ask why you have to go through so many hoops to make a simple pet bar. But just look at the customizability.
You could choose to not have it invisible when you have no pet and instead have different buttons showing. Or you don't have to show all 10 PetID buttons. OR you can spread the PetID buttons around anywhere. On any bar.
It's that total customizability that makes me love mods like macaroon.

You mean... "Completely stupid"
Ummm what if you are using a laptop or a mouse with no wheel?

There are slash commands, as mentioned on the page. So for those who don't have access to mousewheels, there are always slash commands.
Yes, I do admit it is abit more inconvenient to use mousewheel or slash commands for every single configuration, when in Trinity we actually have a menu with sliders and such for it. However, as Macaroon is still under development and the author does mention further tweaking, I'll simply suggest any users to be just abit more patient.
If you like Trinity, I believe you would love Macaroon as well. (I am a faithful Trinity user) At first I also have some doubts about Macaroon, but after trying it out, it really is better than Trinity. Yes, configuration takes a while, but hey, it comes with more flexibility. I am able to create bars exactly how I want them to be, which is something no other action bar addon can do for me.
Not to mention the author is very friendly, and he answers comments and questions pretty fast.
If you are willing to spend a bit of time to configure and read through posts/FAQ, I believe Macaroon will be a perfect addon for you. But if you just want a quick ready made action bar addon without having to spend much time on configuration, find something else then, but you won't get as much flexibility as you will with Macaroon.
Download is only available through wowinterface. So if it's not working, you just have to wait.

Check out Dominoes. It has been another replacement for Trinity. I have been using Trinity for ages and thought I would die without it. Dominoes is the answer and it's way easier to use with much easier customization.

OK I have been a little unkind...
I will give it a shot now and see what I can do with it... didn't really want to spend hours setting up this action bar again. I'll accept that it is under dev and needs basic editing functions like clone bar and a simple cinfig interface. Your scaring off millions of users with / commands.
I will take my use of trinity and love of the addon to Macaroon and give it a serious shot.
Working out how to get the circles back took 2 hours alone so far. You have to download both addons: 'ButtonFacade' and the 'Trinity' Pack for it if you are as lost as I was.

OK some Metalica and a couple more hours of effort.
It's something like what I want but I shall work on it some more... anyway just to say thanks and apologise for being a moody poo! Patch Day Stresses I guess.

Eldric:
Your screenshot looks extremly cool, must took you quite a while to get it done.
Yes, I do admit that it is frustrating while configuring everything, but I suggest any user to check out all the comments on Macaroon and Macaroon extras, plus the FAQ and the posts in the forum on Macaroon before starting the configuration, it's worth the time. Some of the things you want might have already been mentioned, thus saving you time and frustration. =)
Again, good work on the configuration. Glad to see you trying it out. ^_^

So, I'm in the process of setting up my Macaroon now. I'm used to Trinity, which is easier in some ways, but this looks rather good. I do miss stuff like Button skins and the ability to colour them the way you want.. Any way of doing this with Macaroon ? :)
Thanks!

Yes: The screen shot above is Macaroon.
Download the ButtonFacade addon from here and the Facade Trinity Pack too. They work with Macaroon.

In your circle + one bars, how did you make the center button larger than its surrounding buttons?

Gotcha. I had to 'cheat' too, since the ability to edit individual buttons doesn't exist yet. It was much easier in Trinity 2. Hopefully he implements it.

Hehehe... I cheated.
I have across the bottom: a 5 Button bar with two 3 button bars either side.
The central one is a 1 button bar.
The circles are eactly that, except I havent dropped spells into certain spots so I have them as they are. There are no circles + 1.

Quick question here, since I can't manage to find out what these tooltips belong to. These are old screenshots from when I was using Trinity, and I had these kind of tooltips. Those are gone now, and I only have the original ones, which sucks imo. I'm just wondering if this was a part of Trinity, or if it's something completely different. Weird, thinking that the only thing i actually switched in my interface when 3.0.2 dropped, was Trinity to Macaroon..

i would like to do something similar to this, but i'm not sure how to do it or even where to begin experimenting.
warlocks' new 51 point talent in the Demonology tree is Metamorphosis. along with this ability come four new spells: Shadow Cleave, Challenging Howl, Demon Charge, and Immolation Aura. i would like to create a bar for those 4 spells which only appears when i use Metamorphosis. any directions or ideas are welcome.
also, i don't see the same height/width options for the XP bar that Trinity had. this means all i have to control the size of the bar is Scale, which isn't quite sufficient for what i'd like to be able to do. the gel/glassed/other options for the XP bar were great too. is this functionality hiding from me, deliberately omitted, or forthcoming?
thanks for your work on this addon. Trinity was one of my all-time favorites, and Macaroon looks to be a tasty update. and i agree that customizeable is awesome!

First of all, I'd really suggest you guys to head over to Wowinterface, and read the FAQ on macaroon and macaroon extras. There are a lot of answers to the questions you've already posed. And if there are no answers you can find, posting there will at least have a higher chance to let the author see your question, and who else can answer questions better than the author himself?
I have no idea how to make the warlock skill thing.
As for the xp bar. First, go into button edit mode, then right click on your xp bar, and an option to select width should be there. Yeah its weird that it's not in the bar edit mode, so just make sure go into button edit mode first and then right click on your xp bar.

You can use /mac commands to make it easier. For example, select the bar you'd like to edit and type:
/mac add 8
which will add 8 buttons, or you can type:
/mac columns 1
to make the bar vertical.
