I thought it was my firewall settings, but even after allowing all from curseclient.exe, it still failed with unknown error.
Wonder what gives?

If I had to guess I'd think it was a bandwidth issue. Everyone needs to update their addons with the new patch.

I appear to be having the same problem. The client fails during the logon attempt.
I came to check for a client update, just in case, but it would appear that installing the client (again) isn't going to help.

I just tried to log in, and it worked just fine. It more than likely is a bandwidth issue.
