I can't delete or add any addons

I have same problem and have Vista as well...My error note when I log on to my character, a window pops up that says "Quest Helper: I'm refusing to run out of fear of corrupting your saved data. Please wait for a patch that will be able to handle the new zone layout."

I removed a bunch of addons from my WoW addon folder and added a bunch of new ones. But when I log into WoW and click my addon tab to enable and disable mods it shows all the old addons I completely deleted from my computer and won't show any of the new mods I added. What the heck is going on? I have windows vista if that helps any with trouble shooting. Thanks.

ia having the same problem with vista it might be the fact that they have moved our file location. I used the wow repair program and the old deleted files r gone but i cant load the new addons. :(

I have the same issue, running on WinXP.  Never had the problem before, despite using addon's regularly and extensively.  The list you bring up on the character screen, showing all addon's, simply show's the old list of un-updated or deleted addon's (which obviously don't work) and none of the new ones, which I want enabled.  I was half-wondering if it was to do with playing Beta, since that has a seperate addon folder, but y'know.. that's tech-fluffing right there.

Any tips or help would rock my world.

Go in to My Computer, Click Public, Game, and see if you have a WoW file there. If you do delete all your files in the Program Files folder. Now all your WoW stuff is to be saved here. When downloading new addons Using vista you shouldnt be saving them at the first screen when you download them. After you click Manual install you should get a screen that have open with or save file, Click open with Set to Windows Explorer. Once you do that click extract files, then click browse, The destination will be Public (since all your wow should be here, not in Program File anymore) once in public click games, then WoW should be there. Then save as normal under the interface.

New location should be something like this if you are running Vista
C:\Users\Public\Games\World of Warcraft\Interface\AddOns

I hope this helps.

I love my curse addons and i need to remove them completely and redo them.  Yet when I go into program files to take them off, it tells me that they are write-protected or in use and I cant remove them.  What do I do now?

I also lost my autogreet for Wow and can't find the right one again.  Any help for that also?

thanks in advance.

WOW keeps reloading old deleted addons.  I have deleted WTF, Interface and Cache folders with all addons.  I am able to delete, but they keep coming back.
