someone just told me in wow that curse got hacked few days back and the addons are filled w/ keyloggers ? this thing is floating around in wow realms .. is it true or not?

Did you consider the source when they told you? Are they know for being alarmists are just talking right out of their butts a lot?

This is not true.

In the event that Curse believe any files have been infected with a virus of any sort, they will take clear steps to inform and ensure the safety of its users. 

The only fact they told you that addons are filled with keyloggers should tell you they don't know what they talk about.

And addon can never be infected with trojans/keyloggers/viruses in general, for the simple fact it's just pure text, and when inside WoW can perform very limited actions only.

Also, if you ever find an .exe inside a module (and if I'm correct if there is anything strange in the package it gets automatically flagged/removed) I don't think you will run it.

My bet? Hoax.

This is not true by any stretch of the imagination.  To that end, I am locking this thread.
