"Updated" addons are not updated...

I've noticed a lot of so-called updated addons aren't actually updated when you get to the download bit.

Like today for instance, I see a number of addons that I prefer to use have been "updated" on the 20th (today), yet on the download pages, they are still days, weeks or even months old.

What's with that?

Looks like the "updated" is looking at the last comment date instead of a new version.

I second your post!

Well it's good to see these kind of posts get seen and answered by the "management" Huh?

I'm having the same problem.  I have deleted the addon file and created a new file yet they still refuse to work.  :{

the reason is due to alpha versions of the addon.  the author is making changes, but not versioning them as beta or release.   and that is valid, they do not want you using the alpha versions.

BUT Curse should exclude alpha versions from indicating the addon as being 'updated' to the community though.

I am having problems downloading curse, add-ons"it says the path does not exist, exiting install." I have uninstalled curse client a million times and reinstalled it. Anyone have any ideas why it can't find the path to put the add-ons where they are supposed to go instead of just quiting the download and install?

I really liked the ace updater, but the curse one is still too "rough around the edges" for me.

Do what I do: keep track of your addons manually, download them, unzip them, delete original addon folder from the Add-Ons directory, and copy the unzipped addon into them. I'ts tedious, but it works. Once they get a few more of the kinks out of the client, I'll go back to it.

Good luck
