Necrosis wont work after patch

i have use Necrosis since i started playin WoW but after the latest patch Necrosis-ldc wont work

i deleted it and re-installed to see if it would fix it, but it wont show up on my interface even though it is in my addons (of course its ticked etc incase someone suggests making sure the box is ticked!)

i have windows vista, not that it should matter because necrosis worked fine before latest patch

all my other addons work for warlock, and the ones for my paladin work perfectly

does anyone else have the same problem?

and can anyone help me get it working again?

*also i was asked during installation of the patch to move to a public folder. however the public folder for world of warcraft does not contain an interface or addons folder

I have the same issue. Think it has to do with the fact that a few patches back, blizzard decided to change the way their files work.

They didn't change how the files worked BUT where they are located... you should either have reinstaleld WoW into a different directory than the dafault or chose to let the patch use the user directory. Look into the vista link and maybe the patch help link.

The reason Blizzard moved the game into the Public folder in Vista is to make sure the files could be accessed properly. If you don't have an Interface folder inside of your WoW directory (Located (default): C:\Users\Public\Games\World of Warcraft) then you don't have any addons.

Also for a true fresh install you need to delete your settings. Go into your WTF folder and search Necrosis in the little search box near the address bar. Delete all matches. Then redelete the necrosis folder from your WoW Directory (in the Public user folder) or if it's not there simply place it there.
