What website are you referring to?

Not sure where you get that from. I have attached a network monitor to the Curse Client and I see 3 hosts called.

First is an authentication host on login, the other 2 are a Colocation facility where the addon repository is hosted from and are on the same netblock with the same owner. There is no third party sites contacted at all.
