Ok, here is the brief description of what happened:

I was thrownin down heals in AV, using HB and my puter froze.  I stepped away for approx 20 min, checking periodicly to see if it unfroze.  I got no response from hitting ctrl/alt/delete, so I shut my sustem down manually and restarted. After that ...no healbot just an error message that I linked in above posts.  I tried differnt combinations of switching addons off and then deleted all addons and re-downloaded them.  Still get error msg.  Healbot was not funcuntional in any way during my trial and error process.

Im having same issue with healbot.  Was updated today and when I signed on to go to BT I realized that it was not working.  I made several attemps to fix the issue but still not working.  Please help! I cant live without!

Thats the problem, when you get used to addons. You cant play the game the way its meant to be played. Its like kids using a calculator, that cant add numbers in their head. Try learning to play. Healbot should be a help, not a replacement for skills.

Ummm im far from being a kid first off.  Secondly, addons help you to improve your game and if you dont use them your just stupid!

Thank you for throwing your hatefulness out there for us to admire.  Always good to hear from people who have advice on how they think other people should be.  Grats for being so far above the rest of us.  Keep up the good work.

To fix the problem, I ended up deleting my interface, WTF, and cache folders.  When you do this, it forces the game to automaticly reinstall them.  THe drawback is that you lose all of your addons and have to download them all over again.  Curse Client is not affected, so if you are using curse client to download and instal your addons, re-downloading wont take much time.  Also, just fyi, you will have to reset all of your original settings in all og your addosn. A small price to pay to enjoy the utility of your chosen mods.

I guess I should also note that you will get to enjoy the Burning crusade trailer, once again after this process

Emeraldjewel: Actually I didnt call you a kid. I compared your situation to the situation many kids find them selves in at school, where the ease og using calculators lowers the ability to calculate. Sorry if I offendeed you.

If you visit healbots homepage, you will see instructions on how to fix the problem by running a batch file that deletes the healbot files in the wtf folder. If you run that batch file, you dont need to delete the whole folder.

one other thing, if you are not comfortable with deleting those folders you can simply re-name them and have the same result....wow will not recognize the new name and will still reinstall them automaticly.   If you rename  them and Myadvice doesnt help you, you can just delete the new folder and restore your original folders names

cache - cache old/ ftw - ftw old/ interface- interface old

Done like this, you can keep your old folders until you have have the problem fixed or dont need them anymore.

I havent had any problems since deleting those folders

I just deleted the healbot files under \World of Warcraft\WTF\Account\(AccountName)\ HealBot.lua and HealBot.lua.bak

then it worked
