Again, thank you for implementing the RSS feed.
Using Google Reader, however, I am unable to get the feed to properly refresh with new items. While the feed populated correctly when I added it, and there have been addon updates to those on my Favorites list, Google Reader is getting no new information. Viewing the feed manually however, reveals that the updated addons are in fact in there. So, I'm a slight bit baffled. With the public option set, I am using the feed URL: http://my.curse.com/members/johndmann/favorites/rss.aspx This the correct format for the URL I'm supposed to toss into my reader, I do believe.
Now, this could very well be something that Google Reader is doing wrong, I wouldn't be suprised - but I have never had issues with other feeds before using that reader, and so my first thought was that the feed might be wonky in some way, especially since you noted that it was just something you essentially tossed together :p I will probably pester Google about it as well, but I won't hold my breath for any kind of response from them.
EDIT: I should note that the feed items are being "updated", but not considered "new" items. For example, the addon ZOMGBuffs is on my list. In Google Reader, when I added the feed on May 1, it showed as a "new" item, as it should have, being a new feed. When ZOMGBuffs got updated on May 7, there was no "new" feed item for it. However, if I browse "read" feed items, I plainly see:
Title Summary Date
ZOMGBuffs ---------------------- (..snip..) 5/7/09 5/1/09
I'm no expert, but I do believe that the date which the addon is updated is not being sent and/or formatted properly to be flagged as a "new" feed item when the feed gets refreshed.
